Like many parents these days, Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott post pictures of their children on social media.
While celebs get trolled by haters all the time on social media, you’d think these people would at least have the decency to leave children out of it.
After vicious comments were left on a photo of his family, Dean blasted the trolls who had nothing better to do than try and body-shame his kids.
Dean McDermott has been married to Tori Spelling since 2006.
It’s been 13 years for these two. Where did the time go? Congrats, guys!
The couple has had a few reality TV shows chronicling their lives over the years including Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood .
They are also parents to five children.
Yes, five! Their children are Liam, 11, Stella, 10, Hattie, 7, Finn, 6, and Beau, 1.
Gotta love a big and busy family! I’m sure Tori and Dean have their hands full with this bunch.
Recently, Tori shared this photo of the family at a movie screening.
The whole family saw the new movie A Dog’s Way Home with Tori’s former Beverly Hills 90210 co-star, Ian Ziering and his family.
Sounds like an awesome family event to me!
Almost immediately, though, the trolls started commenting.
People tried to body-shame Dean and Tori’s children by asking things like, “Why did you let your kids get so fat?”
Other people criticized the children’s clothes which came from Target.
Who says that about kids?
Of course, Dean was not going to let these trolls get away with what they said.
“I am absolutely horrified and disgusted by the comments being left about my children,” he wrote in an Instagram comment.
He also explained that the family had come from a long day at school.
Naturally, they were a little tired and messy like any kid after a day at school.
“You should all be ashamed of yourselves for passing such horrible judgment on innocent beautiful children. Shame on you all!!!!” Dean wrote .
Since his reply, people have been coming to the family’s defence.
At the end of the day, every parent knows that as long as their child is happy and healthy, that’s all that matters. It’s unfortunate that there are people out there who would try to shame children.
Other people applauded Tori and Dean’s parenting styles.
They aren’t necessarily a conventional family, but if you look at Tori’s Instagram page, the family spends a ton of time together just doing normal kid activities.
Way to shut down the haters, Dean. You did what any dad would have done.
