"One Tree Hill's" Jana Kramer Worried About Being Mom-Shamed For Using Bottles

You hear all the time that "breast is best" when it comes to feeding a baby. However, this saying can be very stressful for moms who can't or choose not to breastfeed.

Actress and singer Jana Kramer recently opened up about her decision to bottle-feed her newborn son and many moms are applauding her honesty.

Jana Kramer is a busy mom to two adorable kids.

In between recording songs, acting in movies, and appearing on TV, Jana is raising her daughter, Jolie, and son, Jace.

When it comes to motherhood, Jana is not shy about sharing.

She even did a live podcast of her delivery room when she was having her son in 2018. Not every mom would be willing to do that, but she felt that it was important for other moms to relate to what she went through.

Even though Jana has been honest about her journey and struggles in motherhood, she isn't immune from mom-shamers.

People criticized her body in this postpartum photo she posted. The reason? Because Jana had "bounced back" so quickly. Really, guys?

Following that incident, she posted this raw photo of herself following her C-section.

Jana cropped this photo because of how rude the comments were on her previous post.

"Why do we women have to compare ourselves to each other and then shame?" she wrote in the caption for this post.

Honestly, Jana, I have no idea, but I wish it would stop!

Since Jana has been mom-shamed in the past, it's no surprise that she was worried about revealing that her son is bottle-fed.

People can be vicious when it comes to the bottle-fed versus breastfed debate.

"I feel like I have to hide the bottle when I’m in public because people are judging me. I feel judged,” she said on a recent episode of her podcast.

She also opened up about her decision in an Instagram post.

"I have wanted to explain myself because I felt like I had to, especially in a world of shaming," she wrote on Instagram.

Since bringing this topic to the spotlight, many women are applauding Jana's choice.

Yes! At the end of the day, what matters is that everyone is healthy and happy. Can we stop with the shaming now?

Many women who also felt mom-shamed by choosing to bottle-feed related to Jana's post.

I know people who breastfed and people who used bottles. Everyone has a unique parenting journey and we should respect that.

Thank you, Jana, for bringing this issue some much-needed attention.
