It seems like every other day, there’s a new video on TikTok going viral that teaches us that we’ve been doing things wrong our whole lives. From everyday basics and things we thought we had always been doing right, it turns out there are easier, more convenient, even better ways to do it.
Who would have thought we’d made it this far messing up so badly?

Wearing a bathrobe seems to be something pretty basic.
Everyone who owns a bathrobe knows that it’s an amazing invention we can thank the robe Gods for. There’s nothing better than taking a shower and throwing on a soft bathrobe afterward. Or, maybe you like to lounge around in it over your pajamas all day.
Either way, everyone knows that bathrobes are tied simply.
There are two loops on each side of a bathrobe and you put your tie/rope through them, around your back, and tie in the front. It’s basic science, and it’s literally how robes are displayed in stores—so, we clearly know it has to be the right way , right?
Turns out, we’ve all been doing it wrong.
If you can even believe it , TikTok has now shown us that we have all been wearing our bathrobes wrong. I’m not quite sure how we could have gotten it so wrong, so badly, but here is TikTok rubbing it right in our faces.

Instead of looping the rope from the bathrobe around the back, you should loop it around the front. But, you don’t tie it in the back, either. Instead, you have to do something completely different. Just bear with us, it works.
You then take the ends and tie it around the front.
The rope never goes around your back at all, you just bring the two ends right into the front and tie it out in the front, like normal. Essentially, you get the robe tight and closed, without going around the back even once.
It actually looks good!
It seems like this way of closing a robe is pretty legit, because it looks tight, comfortable, and easy to do. Plus, you don’t have to worry about it coming loose because the rope isn’t tight enough around the back.
People really loved this new move.
Turns out, people online discovered this on TikTok and they have totally changed the way they wear robes now. It’s a definite win across the board for us, making sure we are comfy but also secure. No slips over here!
The day spa game HAS changed!
Being at a spa and wearing a robe can be kind of nerve-wracking because no one wants to have a robe slip where you show everyone your goods. This is tighter and more secure so that you can always be sure it’ll stay closed.

TikTok makes us question literally everything. Everything we do, every decision we have made—we are all questioning.
I don’t think that there is one thing we do every day that TikTok doesn’t make us second guess or question.
