There are movies that I consider to be great, but that I’d never want to watch again. Requiem for a Dream is a good example of a film everyone should see at least once, but not twice.
It got me thinking: what’s my go-to movie ? What does the internet watch when it’s home sick from school? Find out as Reddit users discuss what their most rewatched movie is.
*Shaun Of The Dead*.
This Halloween instant-classic popped up all over the board and it isn’t hard to understand why.
Shaun of the Dead remains as fresh and hilarious as it was the first time we ever saw it,.
*Office Space*.
TPS Reports; Swingline staplers; copy machines that do everything except copy paper — Office Space has all this and more.
It’s the perfect movie to watch after a bad day at work. On some level, we are all Peter Gibbons.
*The Big Lebowski*.
The Big Lebowski tends to be a polarizing film. Those who love it, tend to love it a lot.
I’m not normally a fan of the Coen Brothers, but John Goodman and Jeff Daniels have made me a believer.
*Billy Madison*.
Adam Sandler was never funnier than he was during his historic SNL run in the early/mid-’90s.
The films he starred in that came out of that era are as close to perfect as comedy gets.
*Happy Gilmore*.
Anyone who tries to tell you that Happy Gilmore isn’t a sports movie either hates sports altogether or just doesn’t enjoy laughter.
My local cable channel used to run this movie on repeat when I was growing up.
*Inception*.
What makes Inception such an incredible film to watch over and again, is the fact that each viewing allows the audience to take something new away with them.
I’ve seen it probably ten times and I’m still not sure I completely understand everything.
*Groundhog Day*.
It’s fitting that a film that revolves around a man repeating the same day over and over again would become a favorite to rewatch again and again!
If you’re a Bill Murray fan, Groundhog Day is where he shines brightest.
*Blues Brothers*.
I’ve just never really understood the appeal behind Blues Brothers , but clearly, I am in the minority on that opinion.
I just don’t find it all that funny? Can someone please help me understand what I’m missing?
*Jurassic Park*.
Jurassic Park was the Star Wars of the ’90s. It broke down new barriers as far as CGI storytelling is concerned, and helped awaken a global fascination for dinosaurs that still persists to this day.
I can’t wait to see the next chapter in the Jurassic World franchise!
*Step Brothers*.
Trying to pin down Will Ferrell ‘s greatest movie is a lot like trying to find a needle in a haystack. There’s simply too much to sift through.
But for my money, Step Brothers is easily in the top 5.
*Back To The Future*.
I would be willing to wager that if you stepped away from your computer right now and started browsing through the channels on your TV, you’d be able to find Back to the Future playing somewhere.
It’s just science.
*Dazed And Confused*.
There have been so many films that have attempted to accurately capture and portray high school life over the years, and all but one of them have failed miserably.
Dazed and Confused is a gem of a flick; it should be celebrated!
*Terminator 2: Judgment Day*.
I’m not saying that Terminator 2: Judgment Day is the greatest action movie that has ever been made.
All that I’m saying is that if it isn’t, what is? Can you tell me? No, you can’t.
*The Shawshank Redemption*.
I feel like The Shawshank Redemption was every single substitute teacher’s go-to back when I was in high school.
Were it not for those apathetic teachers, I may never have come to know the genius of this movie.
*The Matrix*.
Remember when I asked a while back “if T2 isn’t the best action movie, then what is?”
Well, for those of you who responded with The Matrix , I tip my hat to you. You’ve bested me and I admit my defeat.
