Let’s face it, there’s a lot of negativity in the world. Maybe you’ve watched too many sad news stories, or you’ve had an extra tough day at work, and you’re in serious need of a pick-me-up.
Well, look no further. These pictures are sure to make you smile, even just a little bit. After all, sometimes even a small thing can make a huge difference.
This donut wall.

Because who wouldn’t love a donut wall? I honestly think the concept is so cool. Even if those donuts are purely for show, and no one’s really supposed to be eating them, at least looking at a wall covered in donuts will probably bring a smile to your face.
“This Japanese pet penguin named La La walked everyday into town by himself with a backpack and collected fish from the local fish market.”

I’m not really sure how someone ends up with a pet penguin in Japan (or anywhere, really), but this little guy looks like he’s having a good time. Although this happened back in the ’90s , you still have to admit it’s pretty adorable.
This LEGO man made out of butter.

Listen, there’s no reason for this small butter package that came with a ramen kit to look like a LEGO man. But there’s also no reason for the butter to not look like a LEGO man. That would probably be a super fun surprise for anyone making that ramen.
“My puppy is always forcing himself between my legs when I’m walking. Finally got a good picture of him doing it.”

Now that’s a little face that will probably melt your heart! I’d probably die on the spot if I had a puppy that kept doing this. Honestly just too cute for words.
There’s a frog on this frog!

Somehow, the last thing you’d expect to see on a metal frog statue is an actual frog. But here it is, just hanging around and keeping out of the sun. There’s something really cute and wholesome about the fact that this metal frog has a little frog buddy.
This little smiling mushroom.

It’s always so funny how we can spot random little faces on objects that, well, don’t have faces. This smiley mushroom is just radiating positive energy. I probably wouldn’t try to eat it, but just looking at it is enough to keep the good vibes going.
“Play a friendly game of football while you sit at these tables.”

This seems like it would be a really fun way to hang out with friends or family. Or a unique little date spot.
As long as you don’t get overly competitive, this would be a lot of fun, and would probably make everyone at the table happy.
“Some woodland critters hanging out together at Basecamp. They were like this for a while, and left one at a time.”

I’m pretty sure we’re witnessing the beginning of a new Disney movie. These two animals who have little in common just seem to be hanging out and enjoying each others’ company. Not gonna lie, it’s pretty cute.
This cozy crocheted hat that sits on top of a mailbox.

Someone out there has taken it upon themselves to beautify the mailboxes in their neighborhood. Or, they’re just bored and have a lot of yarn on hand. Either way, you can’t help but smile at this nicely crafted crochet hat that someone took time to make.
“I came for mayo and I found Gru.”

This random little glob of mayo does look like it has a face on it, since there are two eyes, a mouth, and a sort of pointy nose. And you know what? That face does just so happen to look like Gru (it’s all in the nose).
“Embroidered patch tattoo.”

There’s something about this tattoo that makes me super happy. Is it the colorful Banjo-Kazzoie artwork? The fact that the tattoo looks like embroidery, but it’s actually made out of regular tattoo ink?
Probably all of the above, honestly. It’s just such an amazing tattoo idea!
“How the chiropractor I went to today is effectively using their damaged sign.”

I’m sure this pic is going to make you laugh out loud. This sign has definitely seen better days, but the chiropractor office is making the best of it. I don’t think there’s any better way to advertise their services.
This little elephant made out of hotel towels.

You can always tell when a hotel staff takes pride in what they do. After all, you don’t get towel elephants at just any hotel. You usually find them in the really fancy places (or the kind of fancy places).
I just know that if I ever walked into a suite and saw this, I’d have a huge smile on my face.
This chicken egg that has a tiny heart on it.

It’s definitely not uncommon for chicken eggs to have little spots on them. But to have a spot shaped like a heart? That seems pretty rare.
And there’s just something about it that’s so nice! If I had a chicken that laid an egg with a heart on it, I’d be so happy.
“I found a pen and the pen cap is shaped like a cat.”

The best thing about this little cat pen cap isn’t the fact that it’s so cute. It’s the fact that it’s also kind of practical. The kitty legs will keep a pen from rolling around.
The fact that it’s cute is definitely an added bonus, though.
“This happy rock I found in my load of drain rock.”

Like any other faceless object with what looks like a smiley face on it, you can’t help but smile back. These little smiley faces always seem to radiate happy, positive vibes, and honestly? We could all use some good vibes.
“Lucky Charms is now selling bags of ONLY their marshmallows.”

I think we can all agree that the best part of a box of Lucky Charms is the marshmallows. You don’t have to be a little kid to enjoy those.
The fact that the brand knows what we all want is a definite mood brightener.
“Old woman telling therapy horse a secret.”

For starters, I didn’t even know that therapy horses existed, but I’m so glad they do. We’ll probably never know what that woman told the horse, which is probably a good thing since horses can keep secrets.
I dunno, there’s just something really wholesome about this scene.
“A Sculptor secretly sculpted his own image in a very old cathedral.”

I’d really love to know the reaction of the first person who ever saw this little sculpture self portrait. It’s such a fun, cute detail that would definitely be easy to overlook, but really entertaining to try and find.
The way someone painted a shadow of a cat climbing parking meters.

That may not be the actual parking meter shadow, but it’s still really neat. It’s the kind of thing you’d stop to stare at for a bit while walking down the street. Hopefully, if you saw this in real life, you’d smile wide.
