As the world gets ever closer to finding out whether Donald Trump or Joe Biden will win the 2020 presidential election, celebrities are coming out in support of the candidates they prefer. The reaction isn’t always favorable — from their fans, and sometimes from the president himself.
Donald Trump has responded to Jon Bon Jovi’s support for Joe Biden.

Celebrities endorsing politicians is nothing new.
Tons of celebrities every election use their platform to encourage their fans to vote for the candidate that they believe best represents them, from Republicans to Democrats.
Kirstie Alley recently shared her support for Donald Trump , saying he “gets things done quickly.” Jon Voight also endorsed President Trump.
Meanwhile, some celebrities have been sharing support for Biden.
In a surprise turn for many of his fans, Sam Elliott lent his support to Joe Biden in the presidential race by narrating one of his campaign advertisements.
Sometimes celebrity endorsements even catch the attention of the candidate themselves.
Jon Bon Jovi has never been shy about his political beliefs.
Recently, the rock legend, known for hits like “Livin’ On A Prayer,” “Always,” and “It’s My Life,” performed at a drive-in rally for Democratic party nominee Joe Biden where he professed his support.
He shared a picture from the event to his Instagram.
“It was a huge honor to perform in support of @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris. Please get out there and #VOTE — the outcome of this election is going to be more important than ever, not just for us, but for future generations,” Jon wrote .
Another star who performed at a rally for Joe Biden was Lady Gaga.
Lady Gaga’s endorsement of Joe Biden caught the attention of the Trump administration, as they sent out a statement referring to Lady Gaga as an “anti-fracking activist” shortly after her performance.
Gaga responded in a tweet.
“So happy I’m glad to be living rent free in your head,” Gaga said in her response, hashtagging the tweet #BidenHarris.
Donald Trump acknowledged both of these superstars at a recent appearance.
At a recent rally of his own, President Trump commented on celebrities who had supported Joe Biden, including Jon Bon Jovi and Lady Gaga.
“Now he’s got Lady Gaga — Lady Gaga. It’s not too good. I could tell you plenty of stories. I could tell you stories about Lady Gaga,” Trump said. ” And Jon Bon Jovi: Every time I see him, he kisses my a*s.”
“Oh, oh, Mr. President,” Trump cooed in a playful imitation of Jon.

The President’s comments were understandably controversial, as well as others he made during the rally regarding celebrities who had endorsed Biden.
At the same rally, Trump was criticized for saying Beyoncé’s name incorrectly.
Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z have also recently endorsed Joe Biden for president through social media.
Some claimed that using his last rally before the election to bash celebrities was an “odd closing message.”
Some found the President’s comments tasteless given these celebrities’ histories of philanthropy and generosity.
“He gives people thirty new reasons every day why he shouldn’t get a second term in office,” one Twitter user shared .
However, others were in full support of the president, writing , “Trump gets more supporters in one car than Biden gets at an entire rally with a free Bon Jovi rock star concert.”
Some felt that President Trump was the true rockstar.
