Isn’t it wonderful when things work out just so? It might not happen nearly as often as we’d like, but if it did happen more often, it would be less special . Looking at these pics should definitely be a satisfying experience.
“We’ve been needing a little countertop for the space between the fridge and the stove and I got this one today by eyeballing it and hoping it fit when I got it home.”

Buying it without measuring is an incredibly bold move, and I salute this person for making it.
“A cornucopia of mushrooms.”

Whether you’re a connoisseur or a hater of ‘shrooms, you have to admit that they’re pretty miraculous. They spring up practically overnight, and come in practically every colour, size and shape you can possibly imagine.
“Owl and a similar visage in a fruit.”

I’d never really thought about owl faces looking like apples cut in half, nor had I thought about halved apples looking like owl faces. But when you see them side by side, the resemblance is uncanny.
“Raven Rock Mountain Treehouse.”

I think most of us have fantasized about having a treehouse at one point, most likely in childhood. Having a perfect treehouse with an immaculate spiral staircase might be an attainable goal, but it’s good to dream big.
“When you unwrap the perfect Reese’s cup.”

I’ve had more than a few Reese’s cups in my lifetime, believe me. In all of those years, all of those cups, I don’t think I’ve ever had one where the chocolate on the bottom stays intact.
“Volkswagen camper van boat.”

Projects like this, incredible though they may be, always feel like more trouble than they’re worth. Then again, if you pull off a VW camper van boat this flawlessly, you’ll have more internet points than you know what to do with.
“My polymer clay cherry.”

Sculptors can turn their medium into an uncanny representation of a real-life object. Anyone can do it, too — clay is cheap. The only thing separating masters like this and the rest of us is talent.
“‘Expergo Luna’ by Jon Foreman.”

I love art pieces that are created out of a couple of simple components. Like the polymer clay cherry, this is the kind of thing that anyone can do. Just mess around with rocks the next time you’re at the beach.
“Cotton candy clouds over Mount Tamalpais State Park.”

I don’t know what I find more satisfying in this pic — the perfect sunset (sunrise?) color gradient on the clouds, or the soft, undulating way that the clouds hug the landscape.
“This Dalmatian vortex.”

This dog is better at sleeping in a tight, tidy little ball than most cats are. It’s pretty impressive to see. I don’t know about you, but suddenly I’m hungry for a bowl of chocolate chip ice cream.
“This high-end makeup palette.”

It’s wild to think that some person or company has taken the time to arrange things just so, when it’ll all be smudged over and ruined the first time someone actually uses the makeup inside.
“Rakotzbrukcke Bridge and its reflection.”

There’s something innately satisfying about the simple arch shape — its steady curve, lack of straight lines and ability to gracefully bear a lot of weight are all factors. Then there’s the perfection of seeing an arch reflected over water.
“The way the branches have formed.”

The branches didn’t really have a choice when it came to eking out a path here, and it stands to reason that they took the paths of least resistance. Still, it’s pretty cool to see.
“Snake obeys the pavement pattern.”

You saw the tree roots following the paving stones, now check out this snake doing the same thing. I guess if it works for the snake, it works for me. Path of least resistance and all that.
“These croissant dragons.”

Croissants always look vaguely like armadillos or beetles or dragons. This pastry chef took things one step further by turning them into picture-perfect dragons. It would almost be a shame to eat these, delicious though they look.
“Been writing short stories for a few years, this is how they’re organized.”

It’s hard to assess how organized this author actually is, considering there seems to be no rhyme or reason to this wall. Still, seeing a bunch of colorful Post-its on a wall is innately satisfying.
“My aunt has this birthday calendar, names on disks using hooks.”

Most of us just use something boring like Google Calendar to keep track of this stuff, but it’s kind of cool seeing a more physical visualization of people’s various birthdays.
“My friend builds dry stone walls, a wall without concrete or mortar, only stone. This is the foundations of one of his walls.”

It’s hard to imagine how a wall could stand without mortar or concrete, but I guess it’s possible.
“The light opening in the building’s design fits perfectly with the car dimensions.”

The person taking this photo was wowed by the effect. The person who owns that car is going to wonder how their car, and only their car, got so hot.
“This hand sanitizer with absolutely no bubbles in it.”

You know how a frosty, cold bottle of water looks that much more appetizing than a room temperature water? This hand sanitizer looks like it would sanitize so much better than a normal bottle.
