Breaking up is hard to do. For many people, leaving someone they love is tough. For others, it’s easy.
Once something happens that they cannot get past or move on from, they say “I have to go and get out of here, 100%. While not everyone has the guys to say “this is over,” some people have no problem saying goodbye.

High school romance can be strange.
“I’m riding the bus home with my “girlfriend” and we were awkwardly holding hands and then her stop comes up. She looks at me grabs my other hand, kisses my cheek, says, “you are a cage, and I’m a bird. This is over.” And then she walks away and that was the last time I conversed with her,” shared PYRoBU.

Number6isNo1 said he got drunk and called a girl he had just met to leave her a voicemail…on his current girlfriend’s phone instead. So, he left his “voicemail” on his girlfriend’s message instead of the new girl. Total bad move.
That didn’t go well.
“Tried to break up with my girlfriend, and kick her out of my house. She kicked her foot through my French door, cutting herself and she began to cry. I ended up having to call the police because she went crazy and they gave her an option of going to her Mom’s house, or to jail. She choose jail. Haven’t seen her since,” said jordanspringer.

One Reddit user said that his ex-girlfriend, at 16-years-old, threatened to “castrate” him. At 16, he didn’t even know what it had meant, and they hadn’t even had sex yet. He’s obviously glad they broke up when they did!
The closure.
Long distant relationship for 2.5-3 years, I visited her for her college graduation. At one point in the weekend we were laying next to each other in our own world (me on my phone, her on her computer) and started talking about us.
