Fans of the hit Netflix series The Crown better take a seat because I have big news. After an extensive and exhausting casting process, the show has finally found its young Royals . Yep, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton have been cast, as per Deadline.
The show has opted for a double dose of William, with two actors portraying the future king.
As reported by Deadline, the extensive casting process for Prince William and Kate Middleton has finally ended.
Teen stage actor Rufus Kampa will take on the role of Prince William when he was 15, while Ed McVey will portray the prince’s later teen and early adult years.
Meg Bellamy has been cast as a young adult Kate Middleton.
Surprisingly, all three are actors new to TV roles, but hey — that’s kind of cool, right?
The outlet reports that Rufus will appear in the episodes that cover how the British Royal Family coped with the tragic death of William’s mother, Princes Diana, in August 1997, while Ed will portray the future king as a young adult.
I can’t wait to see this!
