Kate Middleton has had some great style moments over the years .
Her look is always sophisticated and impeccably put together, with some of her favorite pieces being tailored coat dresses and shift silhouettes.
The Duchess of Cambridge continues to exceed expectations, especially when it comes to the hidden details . What if we told you that one of these details showed off her “naughty” side?
Kate’s naughty side has been explored in the past.

In 2002, she walked in the annual Don’t Walk charity fashion show.
Prince William paid $200 to have a front-row seat as Kate modeled a see-through dress with her bra and underwear showing underneath.
When this happened, William was stunned. Apparently, he couldn’t take his eyes off her.

Kate’s outfit later sold for a whopping £78,000! The designer, Charlotte Todd, originally thought of giving the dress to Kate in exchange for an invitation to the wedding.
But she decided against it and sold the dress instead.

This helped pay for the deposit on her house!
In case you didn’t know, Kate has some incredible legs. She wasn’t afraid to show these off in 2014 when she wore this baby blue dip-low hem dress to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Awards.
Although Kate hasn’t worn a dress this revealing since, it will be forever engrained in people’s minds.

When she showed up at the movie premiere of A Street Cat Named Bob , she pulled an Angelina Jolie. She wore an elegant gown that featured a thigh-high split.
She looked absolutely gorgeous, but it’s unlikely that the Queen was pleased.

Lately, Kate has been much more buttoned up in clothing by one of her favorite designers, Alessandra Rich.
The designer recently did an interview with The Telegraph to talk about Kate’s love for her clothes — especially anything with polka dots.
“We only know she’s wearing one of the dresses when we see her in it, we’re never told anything in advance,” Alessandra said.

“We don’t ask and they don’t say.” She was also asked if her popularity with Kate left her feeling typecast.
“I am super grateful. The buyers know the collection is bigger so it is fine that the public mostly knows the more conservative pieces,” she explained.

“The Duchess of Cambridge is such a style icon, I can’t ever say I’m not thrilled she likes my clothes.”
She went on to compliment the royal’s fashion at 40 compared to at 20.

“I think Kate at 40 seems so much more confident than Kate at 20,” she said. “I love my age. I love having clients who aren’t super young, because you know yourself better.”
“You know what you want,” she continued.

“This is true for everyone, so it must be true for the Duchess. I am just happy that what she wants at this stage of her life is my clothes,” she added to the publication.
Finally, Alessandra revealed that Kate’s favorite dresses have a “naughty” detail that fans don’t know about.

“All my pieces are like this,” she said. “They cover the arms or the legs, but there’s always a split somewhere or a body chain underneath. It is good to be a bit naughty.”
That it is!

If there’s no split, Alessandra likes to spice things up with “a body chain underneath.”
She also explained that she adds other little details to make Kate’s “conservative” dresses more fun.
“I have added big buttons, and an oversized belt and a frilly collar – things that make it more fun.”
