Breakups are always difficult, even when you’re not famous and going through them in a public arena. It’s even more difficult when millions of people feel like they know the details of what went down.
Miley Cyrus isn’t letting that stop her, and she’s also not letting it effect the rules she’s set in place for any new relationships following her divorce.
Miley Cyrus is always authentic and honest, and that’s what fans love about her.
Of course, that’s on top of her prolific and lengthy career as a musician and as an actress. Miley isn’t afraid to be herself , and she’s also not afraid to defend herself when it’s necessary .
Her newest interview with Joe Rogan is obviously no different.
Miley recently went through a divorce from her longtime partner, Liam Hemsworth.

The couple were together on-off for ten years after meeting on the set of the film The Last Song , and their divorce was highly publicized, especially given how Miley was public with new relationships shortly after the divorce was announced.
Miley opened up to Joe Rogan about how the divorce has effected her view on relationships going forward.

“I think [because of going through a divorce] now a non-negotiable in my relationships or dating, you better know what you want because I’m just not interested in taking another 10 years like I did with my first love figuring that out,” Miley told Joe Rogan .
“When it’s over, it’s over,” Miley said, stating she’s not interested in staying in a relationship that doesn’t seem to be working.
“What’s painful isn’t the relationship, it’s then when it’s done, you holding on for that extra however long you try to make it work,” she explained.
I don’t blame Miley for this new outlook on relationships, especially after her last one!
