Got a relationship problem?
While most people work out their issues in therapy, others take to the internet to solve their love woes. While it’s not always the best idea, it guarantees many responses — good and very, very bad.
One man to recently bared his heart to strangers was Redditor u/msru297 . The man took to the “AITA” community to determine whether he was the grade-A jerk in his relationship over a particular hiking situation.

The Man’s Relationship Dilemma All Stemmed From His Girlfriend’s Love of Hiking

They had planned a trip so she could cross off a big bucket list item: hiking the Grand Canyon. A day before that trek, they had done a hike together. But since the man isn’t as fit as his girlfriend, he struggled with the intensity.
While he finished the hike, he couldn’t go on the big Grand Canyon hike the next day. She had also planned on doing the hike in one day, which park rangers had advised against doing.
“She said she was confident she could do it saying she had hiked harder and she is very fit but I just felt like she was discounting what the rangers said,” the man wrote.
But since there was supposed to be a 30 percent chance of rain the next day, the girlfriend felt this was her only chance to go. If she waited, she might get stuck in the rain and be unable to accomplish her dream.
She insisted that she wouldn’t give up a bucket list hike and that she would do the hike again with him the next day.
Her insistence caused the boyfriend to feel angry and hurt. “I got mad because I felt like she was ok with abandoning me with nothing to do at her campsite and I didn’t want to talk to her that evening but she didn’t seem to care and prepped for her hike.”
Instead of being proud of his girlfriend for finishing the hike, the man was upset that she had chosen to go without him. He believes that people are more important than activities. But in his mind, all he saw was his girlfriend trying to finish the hike at all costs without him.
When the Reactions Poured In, It Was Obvious That People Weren’t on His Side
