Hate her or love her, you have to admit that Kim Kardashian-West’s skin is damn near flawless.
Obviously the rich and famous have access to skin care products that we wouldn’t dream of affording but they often use some homehade hacks as well.
And the latest DIY skincare trick in Kim’s repertoire? Not smiling.
Let me explain.
Kim is no stranger to testing out beauty procedures.
In the past she’s been known to try all kinds of things to achieve the perfect skin, perfect body, okay, pretty much perfect everything .
There’s the Microdermabrasion treatments and that time she got a laser facial done.
She even famously experimented with vampire facials.
She later wrote on her website that the facial was really painful and rough for her.

“It was honestly the most painful thing ever! It’s the one treatment that I’ll never do again,” she said.
Now it seems, the star has a new, strange skin care tip that she’d like to share.
During her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic’s “The Master Class” event, a fan asked Kim what her secret was for wrinkle-free skin.
“Don’t smile,” she simply replied.
Um, well alright then.
Of course, people took to social media to share their thoughts on her “advice.”
“That’s no secret, Smiling and laughing cause wrinkles and laugh lines. So does using a straw. I am 55 and don’t have one line on my face so this tidbit has been around for some time people. She didn’t discover this,” wrote one Twitter user.
“Imagine going thru life like this,” another tweeted.
Kim later clarified that the whole thing was just a joke.
“OMG @MakeupByMario should we never make jokes again during our Masterclass,” she tweeted after news got out about her “new skin care trick.”
But I can’t help but feel as though there must be a little truth to this joke.
In a previous interview with C magazine, Kim revealed that she stopped smiling after the birth of her daughter North West.
Kim had suffered from preeclampsia during her pregnancy which caused to swell and gain more weight than expected.
Kim said she didn’t want to smile for the public after she was teased and called fat over something she couldn’t control.
“Even if I was more confident, I just didn’t feel like being that girl who was going to be smiling for every photo,” she said. ” It changed my mood; it changed who I was; it changed my personality a lot. “
If this is the case, her no-smiling techniques does appear to be working.
Too bad we won’t know if she’s happy with the outcome because you won’t catch her smiling anytime soon.
