I don’t own a Jeep myself so I can’t personally verify the validity of this new viral trend that’s quickly taking over the internet. But nevertheless, here’s what’s going on in the world of bizarre online news today.
A TikTok user has recently inspired Jeep owners to drop their phones and run outside to give their vehicles a thorough once and twice-over after revealing that apparently every Jeep has some sort of super-secret hidden “Easter egg” on it.
It all started with a video that was shared on the TikTok app by user @jackiefoster40.
In his video , he shows viewers his brand new Jeep and reveals that this specific car brand comes with a hidden symbol somewhere on it, one which he explains is called an “Easter egg.”
Well, it’s not really an egg . It’s more like a fun design that the car designers included and I guess decided not to tell anyone about. In @jackiefoster40’s case, his was a little spider located near his fuel tank.
In just a few days, the original video has been viewed more than 4 million times, inspiring other users to go check their own Jeeps and document their findings.
And suffice it to say, people are surprised to discover that this whole Jeep conspiracy thing is true .
For instance, user @katepetersonn found a little lizard on her windshield (totally adorable, but I digress), and @katie.deren actually stumbled upon a picture of Jeep , of all things, on her Jeep!
When one person went to survey their Jeep, they actually found a whole host of Easter eggs hidden on it.
User @jazzy._.boo revealed that just like @jackiefoster40, she, too, had a itsy-bitsy spider on her vehicle. But her discoveries didn’t stop there.
On closer inspection, she learned that her car also has what appears to be a silhouette of Bigfoot on the back windshield, a map carved into the center console, and the Jeep symbol inside one of the headlights, among several other “eggs”.
Some eggs aren’t quite as obvious, nor as easily spotted, as others.

Okay, let’s get to the bottom of this Easter egg stuff because if you’re anything like me, you want answers.
Well, as Joel Feder of Motor Authority explained, these cheeky little designs are all thanks to one man named Michael Santoro who was hired as a designer for the 1997 Jeep Wrangler, also known as the Wrangler TJ.
Inspired to leave his mark on the vehicle, Santoro included the very first “Easter egg” in its design — the seven-bar grill image that is exclusive to Jeeps.
Definitely a bold move, but Santoro managed to start a tradition at Jeep that has continued on every car that the company has made ever since.
Judging from the comments on @jackiefoster40’s original video, half the internet has only just learned about these hidden Easter eggs, while the other half apparently already knew about them but decided to keep their lips zipped for whatever reason .
