There are few things that make sense anymore, but you don’t need me to tell you that. A lot of things that don’t make sense these days are coming out of Tinsel Town , but again, this surely isn’t news to you. However, their latest endeavor is one that has left many heads scratching, and many childhoods left threatened to be ruined.
As we all know, Hollywood has been loving a remake lately.
Well, a remake… or a reboot.. or a reimagining… or a reunion!
It seems we as a society cannot forget the things we once loved so much!
Now, the latest reimagining that is causing concern is that of Willy Wonka.
While it’s not a remake of the 1971 film, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory or of the 2005 remake Charlie and the Chocolate Factory — it’s still not something anyone asked for.
The film will be an origin story tale of Willy Wonka, which will star Timothée Chalamet in the titular role.
According to Deadline the film will be based on the character created by author Roald Dahl and will show fans the background story of Mr. Wonka before he opened the most famous chocolate factory in the world.
The film, aptly titled *Wonka* is receiving a lot of mixed reactions from fans.
It’s going to be very interesting for sure.
The film is set to be released in 2023, so we still have time to make up our minds!
