Fans think they’ve figured out the three words Taylor Swift said when she popped up on the big screen and got booed like crazy.
The 35-year-old singer showed up at the Super Bowl to support her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
His team was facing off against the Philadelphia Eagles at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Did Taylor Swift get booed as she appeared on the big screen?
Swift has been a regular at Chiefs games, so it wasn’t surprising to see her there. Plus, she probably wanted to catch her ‘Bad Blood’ collaborator Kendrick Lamar’s big halftime show.
But over on X, NFL reporter Ari Meirov shared a video showing what happened when the cameras zoomed in on her sitting with Ice Spice.
“Taylor Swift got showed on the big screen and got booed aggressively,” he wrote. In the clip, Swift looked confused and seemed to ask, “What’s going on?”
Fans debate why she was booed at the game
Honestly, the boos were probably just Eagles fans venting, hoping for a win after losing to the Chiefs before. But people on social media had a lot to say about it.
One person commented, “Is she really so oblivious? The NFL fan base isn’t her fanbase. Why would people cheer for her?”
Another fan seemed confused by the hate, asking, “What exactly did she do to everyone?”
Travis Kelce reacts to Trump’s presence at the Super Bowl
Meanwhile, Kelce, 35, shared his thoughts on Donald Trump showing up at the Super Bowl. Trump — who made history as the first sitting president to attend the game — hasn’t exactly been a Swift fan.
He previously posted on Truth Social that he “hated” her after she endorsed Kamala Harris during the election.
Still, Kelce seemed excited about his presence. “That’s awesome, it’s a great honor,” he said.
“No matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life. Having the president there, it’s the best country in the world and that’s pretty cool.”
Mixed reactions to Trump being shown during the national anthem
But it wasn’t just Swift getting mixed reactions at the game. When the cameras panned to Trump during the national anthem, people weren’t sure if the crowd was booing or cheering.
Jon Batiste was singing the anthem when the broadcast cut to Trump taking his seat, and social media exploded with reactions.
Social media reactions spark debate over Trump’s reception
One person on X was frustrated, writing, “Y’all didn’t boo at Donald Trump loud enough.”
Another agreed, saying, “That was pretty s**tty to show Trump during Jon Batiste singing the National Anthem, forced me and half of America to boo.”
But not everyone thought it was all boos! Some weren’t sure what they were hearing. “Did they cheer or boo Trump? Difficult to tell,” one person wrote. Many others echoed his confusion, too.
Maybe next year, the Super Bowl can focus more on the actual game and less on who’s getting booed on the big screen.
But hey, it wouldn’t be the Super Bowl without a little drama, right?
