All stages of parenthood have their own challenges. For instance, when you’re raising a teenaged daughter , you’re more than likely going to have to navigate the world of period products with her.
For one dad on TikTok, the time came for him to get his daughter some pads. But a hilarious misunderstanding made him end up becoming the kind of dad we all probably needed at that age.

A user who goes by K.oThaBarber recently went viral on TikTok.
Last week, he posted a storytime video to his account ( @k.othabarber ). In the story, he talked about how he needed to buy pads for his daughter, and drop them off at her school.
“Alright, so look, check this out y’all,” he says.
“So my baby mama just text me and told me like, ‘hey baby dad, your daughter just got her period in school.’ I’m like aight, cool, what I need to do?”
“She’s like, ‘take her some pads up there.'”
K.o explains that he said he’d drop his dog off at an appointment and then swing by. He also explains that the mom said, “‘Bring her some Always pads with some wings.'”
“So I feel like I should tell y’all what I did.”
“I got her some Always pads,” K.o says, showing the package of pads he bought. “And I got her some wings,” he continued, showing a takeout container that’s undoubtedly full of chicken wings.
“But I ain’t know this was not what she meant.”
“She meant just the pads that had the wings. They got the wings, and… she got some more wings,” he continues.
“Yeah, I done [expletive] up. It’s all good.”
The comment section absolutely loved the story, though.
Pretty much everyone pointed out that, even though he got the wrong kind of wings (but still managed to get pads with wings), he messed up in a way that actually made the situation better.
After all, wings make everything better.
“You can never go wrong with both wings ♀️ ♀️ love this,” one commenter wrote.
Another said, “Both are acceptable. Thank you for your service.”
“You got her the right pads and some food??? Oh she’s winning. Good job dad,” said a third.
Many people who menstruate pointed out that little things like that are a definite pick-me-up.
A user commented, “u didn’t f up at all ! giving any kind of extra comfort to us while we are needing the other wings is wonderful.”
For many, this was just a case of a dad doing his best to be there for his kid.
One user said he “Overstood the assignment,” while another wore, “The pads will help her with her cycle and the wings is emotional support & care. Add a little note telling her that you love her.”
And really, that’s all a kid can ask for.
There’s no doubt that, if you’ve ever had to endure periods, your own dad was likely in K.o’s shoes at some point. Though, he probably didn’t come home with accidental chicken wings.
