Comedian and dad Simon Holland recently posted a series of tweets totally roasting the entire “back to school photo” culture.
Simon was quick to showcase how ridiculous some parents are for putting pressure on themselves for social media photos.
It’s truly an emergency.
Holland showcased that it’s a “emergency” if some people don’t have those little chalkboards for their kids to hold for social media photos.

Moms are always trying to be extra — a computer print-out is not good enough unless there’s ribbon and a frame around it.
People are desperate to “help.”
This is actually how moms act when someone showcases that they can’t “keep up” with the latest trends.
Not to mention, her mom doesn’t blog.
Her social life TOTALLY depends on whether or not her mom is “Insta-worthy.”
Moms are always “supportive.”
Not being able to post photos of your kids in awkward positions is literally like a death in the family for some.
Kids know.
Kids know that social media personas are “the most important,” because, you know, they learn it from mom.

It all ended well because Simon’s daughter got her first grade teacher to totally help out so she can stay “cool.”
Clearly, Simon’s tweets prove that we’re all a little obsessive when it comes to looking like a “Pinterest parent”.
This year, maybe we can relax on forcing our kids to take photos and let them just enjoy being, well, kids!
