Toddlers can be a lot of work. They’re still completely reliant on their parents for even the most basic tasks, and yet they’re mobile enough to somehow get into trouble the second an adult blinks.
And yet, they are also freaking adorable, especially once they’ve discovered the value of conversation before the specifics of language and grammar. Babble is the cutest.
So it’s no surprise that a video of an adorable toddler chatting about a TV show with his dad went viral.

Dad DJ Pryor was just watching the season finale of Empire when he decided to ask his 19-month-old son Kingston for his thoughts.
Pryor is a comedian working towards his big break, but he never expected it to come in this form.

Like any parent would, his wife Shanieke thought her boys looked cute on the couch and decided to record it with her phone.
Neither expected that when she shared the video on Facebook it would spread beyond their friends and family.

But it did, because who in the world doesn’t appreciate a pure, funny moment between a father and son.
It certainly helps that Kingston is freaking adorable.
Pryor told Today that his son is already a natural performer. When Pryor is practicing stand up routines, Kingston will take the mic and mimic with his own babble performance.
The family has gotten a ton of attention from the media since the video was posted.

They’ve appeared on morning shows and Pryor’s follower count on Instagram has skyrocketed.
But one company knew exactly the best way to capture some of the glow.
The video happened to circulate right before Father’s Day, and Denny’s decided to take advantage of great timing.

They invited Pryor and Kingston to star in a special advertisement for the occasion and Kingston did not disappoint.
While it doesn’t have the same pure spontaneity of the original video, it’s still hella cute.
I mean, what’s not to love about Kingston playing with straws and feeding his dad bacon?
As for how Kingston has up-staged him, Pryor takes it in stride.

He said:
“We made a joke. I have been chasing this dream of making it as this famous actor and comedian for 16 years and Kingston’s walking around like ‘Damn dad, it took you 16 years? It only took me one.'”
