In case you hadn’t heard the news, Kylie Jenner was officially named the world’s youngest self-made billionaire — beating out Mark Zuckerberg.
And while that’s an incredible accomplishment, not everyone is buying that she’s “self-made”.
Dictionary.com was quick to remind people what the definition of “self-made” was.

Kind of savage, kind of hilarious.
Seeing as Kylie comes from a very wealthy family, you can’t say that she was unaided in her journey to becoming a billionaire.
Piers Morgan was also unimpressed with Kylie’s new record.
And sure, her sister may have made a sex tape a billion years ago, but so do lots of celebrities — and how many of them are billionaires?
Liam Payne clapped back to Piers’ comment.

He suggested congratulating Kylie, instead of knocking her, or anyone else down — which he spends a good amount of his time doing.
Even though the world can see that Kylie lives a very privileged life, she still stands by the fact that she made it on her own.

In an interview with Paper she explains that her parents cut her off financially when she was just 15-years-old.
But people really don’t care if she was cut off or not.

In fact, some people think that if they lived a life just as privileged as Kylie, they’d be doing better than her by now.
Which is…interesting. A billion dollars is a lot of money.
It brings up an interesting debate on if being self-made means you have to start from zero.

Because if that’s the case, then you could argue that Mark Zuckerberg isn’t self-made either.
Tomi Lahren was one of the few people to actually defend Kylie.

And like it or not she does make a point. Kylie didn’t have to go out and start her own makeup empire, but she did, and she killed it.
And at the end of the day, Kylie is still a billionaire, while we all squabble on the technicality of being self-made.

Something tells me that she’s unbothered.
