The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alumna Brandi Glanville says she has spent thousands of dollars over the past year trying to cure the unknown “parasite” on her face, which has caused her facial disfigurement.
The 52-year-old has suffered from the illness in her face over the past year without receiving any diagnosis from medical professionals, even though she ran many medical tests to try and find a resolution.

Glanville spoke about her health issues
In speaking with Entertainment Tonight, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alumna opened up about the struggles she’s facing with her health.
Glanville explained that she’s especially struggled with not being able to get a diagnosis after spending thousands of dollars on tests.
She revealed having spoken to many doctors
During the conversation, Glanville explained that she has done a lot to be able to get a diagnosis for what’s growing on her face, saying, “Honestly, I have so many doctors and I’ve had so many tests. I did lab work for $10,000.”
Glanville says the doctors are unsure of the problem
Sharing the doctors’ response to having not found a diagnosis yet, Glanville said, “They ran every test under the sun. They’re like, ‘It could be a parasite that’s new.”
“I’ve been on meds this whole year. I don’t socialize,” she also added.
She admitted she’s pouring all her money into it
Glanville said that so far she has spent “over $70,000” in order to try and figure out a permanent treatment for her face.
“I don’t go out and I’m just spending all of my money on trying to figure out what’s wrong with me,” she admitted.
Every treatment has only been temporary
Although the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alumna has spent tens of thousands of dollars on treatments, they have only been temporary ones.
Glanville also shared that medical bills have been stressful with her not having worked for the past two years.
She has a suspicion on what could have caused it
Glanville shared that she believes the health problem in her face could have stemmed from her time filming the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco.
“We had food sitting out for hours on end and some of it was meat,” Glanville claimed.
Glanville shared why she thinks it was the Morocco trip
She shared that the health issue started after she had gone back from the trip.
“Six months after I got back from Morocco, I started having this speaking thing and the swelling up thing. It started in July and we’re still here trying to figure it out,” the reality TV star said.
The reality star says she feels the “parasite” in her face
Glanville described the unknown “parasite” as something she can often see and feel moving around her face if she “messes with it.”
She explained that it makes her skin look like there are “tiny bubbles bursting” and that she feels as though it’s “having babies” in her face.
Glanville feels hopeless after all the tests
Speaking vulnerably, Glanville said, “I’m not getting my hopes up anymore,” after visiting multiple doctors.
She said, “This is a horrible thing to say but even if it’s like a tumor, I want to know. I want to have just an answer. That would be amazing.”
The reality star wanted to clear up rumors
Glanville posted a photo of her facial disfigurement on X/Twitter on December 7 because she had been getting tired of rumors spread about her.
“Because I’m so sick of the narrative that I’m sitting around having plastic surgery all the time,” she shared. The star is hoping to figure the health issue out in 2025.
