Lil Nas X was taken into custody after police got calls that he was out on the streets in Los Angeles without clothes on.
Cops say the whole thing started when people reported a man walking around naked in the early morning hours.
Police respond to early morning calls
According to the LAPD, officers showed up on Ventura Blvd. just before 6 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21.
They had been told there was “nude in the street” at the time.
Suspect allegedly assaults an officer
When police got there, things reportedly escalated. The man went on to “batter an officer, so he was booked for battery on a [peace officer],” the LAPD spokesperson said.

He got hospitalized right after
After that, he was taken straight to the hospital for treatment. Officials said that once he gets released from care, he would be charged and then go through the booking process.

Police did not name the suspect. But TMZ reported that it was Lil Nas X.
The site also shared photos showing the “Old Town Road” star, 26, walking down Ventura Blvd. around 4 a.m., wearing only underwear and boots.
Questions of a possible overdose surface
TMZ also said there were several calls to the LAPD about a possible overdose. The police spokesperson, though, said they couldn’t confirm that part.
Lil Nas X’s music career took off fast
Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Hill, first broke out in 2021 with his debut album Montero. That project ended up nominated for Album of the Year at the 2022 Grammys.
Since then, he has dropped a string of singles, including “Light Again!” and “Hotbox” earlier this year. He also put out the EP Days Before Dreamboy a few months back.
He shared his health struggles with fans
This wasn’t the first health concern fans have seen from him. Back in April, he posted a clip from a hospital bed on Instagram, saying he had facial paralysis.
He later followed up with another message telling fans, “Guys I am OK!! Stop being sad for me! Shake Ur ass for me instead!”
