Here at Diply, we’ve been social distancing and working from home for a bit over five weeks now, and I think I can safely say for all of us that we are over it .
I never thought I’d miss the random bits of office culture, such as the constant mystery of who in the office only eats half a muffin and leaves the rest in the kitchen, but here we are.
The year 2020 is really weird, guys.
And I’m an introvert. I *like* being at home!

I can only imagine how my extroverted friends are feeling right now.
Though, if I had to guess, I’d say they feel a lot like Big Poppa.
Big Poppa’s human, Rashida Ellis, shared his social isolation blues on Twitter, where his sadness clearly struck a nerve.
Due to social isolation, Big Poppa can’t play with the kids in his building.
The jail-like feel of the patio railing only adds to the relateability of the photo.
Though bulldogs naturally look a bit sad, Rashida says Big Poppa has been showing clear signs of distress.
She told BuzzFeed News :
“The sad thing is we have to social-distance even him. When he’s inside, he just walks out to the patio looking for people. He’s sleeping more. He’s a little sluggish. I can tell he’s not as happy and excited as he usually is. He’s probably tired of just me playing with him.”
I feel that. My own dogs are clearly very, very sick of only having me to socialize with.
Rashida continued, describing the moment she took the viral pic:
“He kept making noises to get their attention, but we’re six stories up and they can’t hear him. I was like, ‘Oh my god, he’s really sad.'”
He is getting so much love online, that Big Poppa even got a coveted 14/10 from WeRateDogs.
So many cuddles and games are in his future!
