The first batch of Epstein files just dropped, and yeah—some pretty big names showed up. The U.S. government put them out, but a lot of people thought they were disappointing. Not as shocking as expected.
The accused s*x offender died in custody back in 2019
Even though this case is old news, people are still digging and asking questions. What exactly did he do? And more importantly, were any celebrities actually involved in his whole messed-up operation?
A number of high-profile figures were named in the first phase of Jeffrey Epstein files
This week, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi dropped the first batch of Epstein files—but she also called out the FBI, saying they’re “hiding thousands more pages.”
After putting out the files on Thursday, February 27, Bondi said, “This Department of Justice is following through on President Trump’s commitment to transparency and lifting the veil on the disgusting actions of Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators.”
The documents contain flight logs and a contacts list
She added that this first release gives a glimpse into Epstein’s huge network and is a step toward giving the public some long-overdue accountability.
This batch included flight logs from Epstein’s private jet, plus a partly-redacted “contacts list.”
Not everyone in the contacts book is a client
Now, just to be clear—the contacts book isn’t a “client list,” and no one in it is being accused of anything. The names were there, but addresses and contact details were blacked out.
But nothing new was revealed in the files
In the end, there wasn’t really anything new in the 200 or so pages spread across 10 different files.
These documents are the first ones made public about Epstein and the horrific abuse of over 250 underage girls.
Celebrities that we already knew of were on the list
- Mick Jagger
- Alec Baldwin
- Michael Jackson
- Dustin Hoffman
- Ralph Fiennes
- Naomi Campbell
- Bob Weinstein
- Liz Hurley
Other political figures and big names were also listed
- Ivanka Trump
- Ivana Trump
- Ethel Kennedy (Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s mother)
- Late Senator Ted Kennedy
- Kerry Kennedy
- Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo
- Courtney Love
- David Koch
- Alan Dershowitz
- John Kerry
- Jon Huntsman
The FBI is accused of withholding thousands of pages
Meanwhile, Bondi is calling out the FBI, saying they’re holding back more documents. In a public letter, she wrote, “Late yesterday, I learned from a source that the FBI Field Office in New York was in possession of thousands of pages of documents related to the investigation and indictment of Epstein.”
ONE person was not on the list
With so many celebrities and politicians already on the list, Donald Trump’s name was never mentioned.
