There are huge decisions you need to make when you start planning a wedding , like the venue, the food, and the guest list, of course. But what about your wedding party ? Is this automatic? Do you just invite your friends and family to be your bridesmaids ?
Well, as it turns out, there’s a new wedding trend right now, and I think it will surprise you. Apparently, ladies are hiring professional bridesmaids. Oh, yeah. That’s right.

A woman who claims to be the first professional bridesmaid has an account on TikTok, and I have so many questions for her, ha, ha. Like how does that even become a job? I’ve never heard of that.

Jen Glantz gets hired by brides-to-be to pretend to be a close friend and stand in as a member of their wedding party. OMG, what? That’s hilarious, ha, ha. And get this, most of the time, even the groom doesn’t know she’s a fake.

Apparently, she goes as far as to take on a fake name, a fake backstory, and none of the other wedding guests know that it’s all staged. Holy moly! Imagine that? Wow, that seems a bit odd to me. How about you, huh?
Okay, let’s dive into this “job.”
Jen has been asked many times by people how much she gets paid to be a bridesmaid. So she answered this on her TikTok. Basically, all her expenses are paid like travel, bridesmaid dress, and accommodations. And on top of that, she gets a fee based on how many hours she’s needed for. And this could range from a few thousand dollars to a sky-high amount.

Since this lady is so good at her job, she actually opened her own company, “Bridesmaid For Hire,” and you can apply to work for her. All you have to do is visit her website and fill out an application. Then her “team” will be in touch with you.
Okay, would you do this?
Seriously, who in their right mind would want to be a bridesmaid for hire? I mean, getting through somebody else’s wedding is work enough. Do you know what I mean? But as it turns out, there are ladies out there who would love to do this for a living.
Here’s the other side of the coin.
A lot of ladies were like, “Hell, no.” Ha, ha, I hear them loud and clear. The truth is, I haven’t been to too many weddings, but I can definitely see how stressful this job could be. And what if you mess up and get busted? Then what? Will they then just not pay you?
Oh, no! That would suck.
But I’m sure this lady has it all down. She probably has talking points that she gets from the bride about what to say or not. So that way, her backstory can be solid. Still, that would be a little too much for me.
But apparently, after she lost her job in 2015, she’s been doing this and killing it. She not only got what she got paid for before but doubled it. Wow!
