Actress Amber Heard is responding to claims that her ex-husband Johnny Depp’s’ legal team have made against her.
Johnny’s legal team, in an effort to appeal the defamation case against The Sun , is claiming that Amber did not donate the $7 million settlement from their 2016 divorce as she previously claimed, according to a new report by the Daily Mail .

For those who don’t know, Amber has claimed to have donated the entirety of her $7 million divorce settlement to charity.
Specifically, the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the American Civil Liberties Union, who were to split the 2016 settlement evenly.
However, that does not seem to be the case.
The Daily Mail reports that documents show that the hospital has only received $100,000, not the promised $3.5 million.
Firing back at the allegations, Amber’s lawyer has released a statement to E! News, confirming that the actress has yet to fulfill her entire pledge.
“Amber has already been responsible for seven figures in donations to charitable causes and intends to continue to contribute and eventually fulfill her pledge,” her attorney said .
“However, Amber has been delayed in that goal because Mr. Depp filed a lawsuit against her, and consequently, she has been forced to spend millions of dollars defending Mr. Depp’s false accusations against her.”
They continued: “Mr. Depp’s effort to plant stories in the media criticizing Amber for not yet fulfilling all the donations she pledged to charity is yet another desperate attempt to divert attention.”
A spokesperson for the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles declined to answer a list of questions submitted by the Daily Mail, stating that, “as a matter of policy, communications with a donor are confidential.”
Johnny’s lawyers continue to call Amber’s donation plan a “sham.”
Johnny Depp’s fans have been flooding Twitter with accusations against Amber.
“Amber Heard lied about donating her divorce money to the CHLA. If you still support her, truly, sincerely, go [expletive] yourself,” one fan tweeted .
“IMAGINE YOU PASSED THE LAST 4 YEARS TELLING TO EVERYONE YOU GAVE $7M TO CHARITY IN ORDER TO HELP SICK CHILDREN …. IMAGINE YOU WERE LYING AND KEPT THE MONEY ….. AMBER HEARD DID IT #AmberHeardIsALiar,” tweeted another .
“Looks likes Amber Heard’s “charitable donations” were split between the #AmberHeardIsALiar fund and the #AmberHeardisAGoldDigger foundation,” remarked another angry fan.
It’s clear these allegations have only added fuel to the ongoing social media fire.
