Golden Globe award-winning actress, Jennifer Coolidge , 61, has conquered her career but the star is still looking for the love of her life. The actress got emotional during her award acceptance speech last week citing the reason for being single all these years.
Coolidge Gives A Moving Speech At The Golden Globes
Coolidge is famous for her deadpan comedy, but there was nothing funny about her confession on Tuesday night. The audience thought it was classic Coolidge and erupted in laughter as she “spilled her guts,” but the Legally Blonde star admitted to Page Six that she was serious.
Thanking Mike White
During her interview with the publication post winning the Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Anthology Series, Coolidge said,
Opening Up About Her Feelings
Coolidge went deep into her personal feelings during her acceptance speech as she recalled sinking into depression during the pandemic. The star dropped out of the spotlight for a long time causing her to doubt her ability to attain the utmost height in Hollywood.
Making Friends With Co-Stars
She thanked all her colleagues who kept her relevant with supporting roles in small movies (and music videos with Ariana Grande). Surprisingly, Coolidge revealed that she almost turned down the Tanya McQuoid role in The White Lotus.
Thankfully she didn’t because it’s earned her the most career accolades.
Still Searching For The Love Of Her Life

Coolidge said to Page Six she doesn’t have many industry friends besides people she met on the job. When asked about her romantic life, the Best in Show star said,
One Public Relationship In 30 Years Of Fame

As the actress noted, she’s been around since the late Nineties but keeps a low profile. She moved to New Orleans in 2005 and remains there when she’s off work. Coolidge’s only public relationship was with Chris Kattan, the comedian, years ago.
Not Settling For Less

She finally answered the burning question in many fans’ minds – “Why is an amazing woman like her single?” One thing we learned from her character in Legally Blonde is never to settle for less than you deserve in a relationship, and it’s spilled into real life.
Dealing With Insecurities

Coolidge said some decisions she made as a young actress made her insecure, but she’s working through it now. She believes the lack of job offers in blockbusters for most of her career contradicted her colleagues’ applauses for her skills.
Enjoying Her Moment

Coolidge ended her acceptance speech by saying she’s happy many people passed on The White Lotus. It made the success more gratifying knowing she, Mike White, and the cast believed in its potential.
