Like most protective celeb parents, Charlize Theron just wants her two kids, Jackson and August, to live a private life.
That’s why it was soo surprising when the Bombshell actress shared this ultra-rare pic of one of her daughters while on their family vacay.

She shared a pic of one of her daughters on social media!
That’s a pretty crazy thing to happen since she ensures her two kids, Jackson and August, live private lives.
She adopted Jackson in 2013 and then August in 2017. While she may be a single mom, she certainly doesn’t raise them alone.
She has her mom, Greta, to coparent with her — a title she fully acknowledges.
“To not acknowledge her in coparenting my children would be a lie,” she told Elle .
“I knew that I would have to have my mom help me if I was going to do this as a single parent.”

While the Mad Max actress has dated in the past, the closest she got to marriage was with actor Sean Penn. The pair split in 2015.
Even so, this talented actress doesn’t need no man. Becoming a mom while single is still a rewarding experience, despite waiting a while to do it.
“I do know that choosing to be a mom in my late 30s has been really great for me,” she told W magazine.
“It’s given me perspective.”
In the past, Theron has only shared glimpses of her children on social media.
Like this image of one of her daughters reading a book.
“@girlmacfarlane my little ones are loving your new book! Adorable story about just being yourself,” she captioned the post.
Or this image of the kids’ hands for World Adoption Day.
“Happy World Adoption Day from our family to yours!!” she began her caption.
“If we continue to open our minds and hearts, maybe we will find ourselves in a world where every child has the loving family they deserve #worldadoptionday.”
The latest rare photo to come about is this one she took on vacation.
“We don’t wanna leaves,” Theron captioned the photo of her daughter, August, although a lot of people believe that it’s of Jackson.
While most of the comments were positive, there were some negative ones too.
“A 7 year old cannot be transgender, Nobody can say that positively until they reach puberty. You need to check yourself, become less “hollywood”, and stop destroying your child – thank you :)” someone else wrote.
The transgender comments are in reference to the fact that Theron is raising Jackson as a girl.
In April, the Mad Max actress recalled the time Jackson told her she was a girl to the Daily Mail .
“Yes, I thought she was a boy, too,” Theron said.
“Until she looked at me when she was three years old and said: ‘I am not a boy!'”
Being the loving and supportive mom that she is, she’s fine with Jackson’s decision.
“So there you go! I have two beautiful daughters who, just like any parent, I want to protect and I want to see thrive.”
“They were born who they are and exactly where in the world both of them get to find themselves as they grow up, and who they want to be.”
“And I will do everything in my power for my kids to have that right and to be protected within that.”
What a mama bear!
Despite this, a lot of people have had issue with it. Even Mario Lopez weighed in on the controversy.
While on “The Candace Owens Show”, he said that it was “dangerous” for parents to let kids choose their gender.
“My God, if you’re 3 years old, I just think it’s dangerous as a parent to make this determination then.”
“It’s sort of alarming and my gosh, I just think about the repercussions later on,” he carried on.
“I think parents need to allow their kids to be kids, but at the same time, you gotta be the adult in the situation.”
All of the backlash just goes to show why Theron keeps her kids’ lives so private.
Thankfully, there have been positive comments as well that give the actress the praise and encouragement that she deserves.
“It’s refreshing to see a celebrity who isn’t using her kids as trendy accessories, thereby allowing them to grown organically and as far away from the limelight as is it’s reasonable possible. Kudos,” one person wrote.
