Good Morning Britain’s hosts Kate Garraway and Lorraine Kelly get pranked by the producers as the color of the former’s dress keeps changing until a belly-aching finale moment. Read more about the Thursday morning prank and the show’s recent debacle with Susanna Reid’s outfit.
A Thursday Broadcast
The Thursday morning broadcast of Good Morning Britain featured Kate Garraway, Lorraine Kelly, and Ben Shephard when the trio broke into laughter as the producer’s prank made headway.
The Prank Begins
Kate, who was originally wearing a bright green outfit, suddenly got up when her dress started changing colors from red to blue and purple and finally projected Lorraine Kelly’s laughing face as the prank’s finale moment.
Was It Really A Successful Prank?

By the looks of it, the way the outfit was changed, it did seem like a prank successfully pulled off.
Last Minute Outfit Change

Only recently, Susanna Reid was asked to change her outfit just minutes before she was due to start presenting because of wardrobe issues.
Blending Into The Background
Susanna spilled the details of this incident, saying, “I had a bit of an outfit, wardrobe crisis this morning. I put an outfit on that seemed to blend into the background, so the director, with two minutes to spare, said, ‘Is there anything else in your wardrobe?’”
Last Minute Cover Up

Just two minutes before her live broadcast, Susanna changed into a red dress only to find out it “needed a bit more buttoning up” at the last minute.
Sew In A Flash
She had no choice but to count on a quickly sewn button at the neckline to ensure she was appropriately covered before going live.
Behind The Scene Struggles

While Susanna read the news, her dress was being kept in place by a wardrobe team member who quickly buttoned the front.
No Mishaps
Susanna joked about the time, saying that she didn’t want an Aubrey Plaza moment who stepped on the SAG Award’s red carpet wearing a gold gown that exposed most of her cleavage.
Co-star In Trouble
Ed Balls, her co-start, revealed, “I’ve never ever read a news headline from the autocue while simultaneously trying to unzip you from the back!”
A Loud Praise
After it all ended, Susanna thanked her wardrobe team via Instagram for helping her handle the wardrobe crisis just in time.
All Hail The Wardrobe Team
She captioned her Instagram post, featuring the two dresses she was wearing, saying, “QUICK CHANGE! All hail the amazing styling team @gmb. Today’s red dress, donned 2 minutes before the headlines at 6 am, and with a button sewn on by @hollyslater while I was in the studio.”
Small Part Of A Whole

She continued her caption, saying, “the wardrobe department is a huge part of the success of TV programs and deserves massive credit for their skills.”
A Lot Goes Down
In an interview with The Sunday Times, Susanna Reid shared that a lot goes on behind the scenes before she appears on the screen for the viewers to see.
Rundown Of The Day

She then shared the rundown for an average day of her life which begins at 3:40 am, signaled by her alarm clock. She then takes five minutes to go through her emails and the day’s schedule before getting out of bed and starting the day.
A Hurried Routine
The TV presenter then manages to brush her teeth and put on a coat over the pajamas before jumping into the car that takes her to the studio.
What Goes On In The Car?

Her journey from the house to the studio is occupied by reading the newspaper and catching up on the briefs of the day’s interviews. She also analyzes the stories that researchers and producers come up with overnight.
The Grid
The most important document she examines in the car is the Grid, which gives her a rundown of the timings and important points for the day’s show.
A Lot To Take In

Susanna accepted that her journey from her house to the London Television Center takes 25 minutes and is “a lot” to absorb.
However, the TV personality confessed to liking her schedule as it allows her to reach home before her kids return from school or work and spend time with her family.
