Fashion has always been here today and gone tomorrow. Especially when it comes to popular hairstyles of the times. While some ‘looks’ remain timeless, others become laughable.
No one is innocent of crimes committed against the fashion police. We all have something to atone for, celebs included.
On that note, here are 10+ TV and movie hairstyles that were just plain awful.
Drew Barrymore in *Never Been Kissed*.

The shoulder-length blowout, paired with the white boa makes Drew look like an aged extra from the set of Show Girls .
‘Josie Grossie’ really lived up to her moniker with this one.
Adam Sandler in *The Wedding Singer*.

So yes, The Wedding Singer is an 80s satire. The hairstyles and wardrobes are meant to accentuate and poke fun at the times.
Still, that mullet is something to behold.
Winona Ryder in *Stranger Things*.

You might think it’s somewhat unfair to poke fun at Winona’s disheveled look in Stranger Things , considering what she went through in season 1.
That doesn’t change the fact that she looks like her hair was cut by a weed wacker.
Winona Ryder in *Beetlejuice*.
“Strange and unusual.” Those are the two words I would use to describe Winona’s hair for her role as Lydia in Beetlejuice .
She takes bangs and goth spikes to a whole new level.
Elizabeth Moss in *Madmen*.

Elizabeth Moss rocks a number of different hairstyles throughout Madmen .
Each one is different, yet they all have one thing in common: they all send audiences running for a pair of scissors.
Lindsay Lohan in *Freaky Friday*.

One of the more forgetful remnants of the late ’90s/early ’00s was highlights.
Hard, contrasting, horrendous highlights. You can’t entirely put the blame on Lindsay, she’s just a victim of the times.
Courtney Cox in *Scream 3*.

Courtney, on the other hand, has no one to blame for those bangs but herself.
She looks like she’s already had a run-in with Ghostface (or a lawnmower for that matter).
Angelina Jolie in *Girl, Interrupted*.

OK – she’s supposed to be playing a mental patient. That whole “I cut my own hair” aesthetic was probably the aim that the film was going for!
That said, this was at the height of Angelina’s Billy Bob phase…
Tom Hiddleston in *The Avengers*.

Tom Hiddleston’s wig in The Avengers makes him look like some kind of space-age Joe Exotic.
You can’t blame Carole Baskin for this one; Loki looks like a joke.
Javier Bardem in *No Country For Old Men*.

I would say something about Javier Bardem’s hairdo in No Country For Old Men , but I’m still so utterly terrified of his character, Anton Chigurh, that I think it’s best if I just keep my mouth shut.
Taylor Lautner in *Twilight: New Moon*.

Wow. Taylor Lautner looks like a reject from some piss poor ’80s metal hairband. Get that man a red piano, it’s the Second Coming of Steve Perry!
Don’t stop believing, Taylor!
Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels in *Dumb & Dumber*.
You know how sometimes something can be so bad that it mysteriously becomes good?
That’s exactly how I’d describe Harry and Lloyd’s hairstyles in Dumb and Dumber : a brilliant beautiful trainwreck.
Mario Lopez in *Saved By The Bell*.

This was most definitely not a preppy look for Mario Lopez.
I’m willing to bet that if AC Slater wasn’t such a great wrestler that he would have been stuffed into a locker many times over.
John Stamos in *Full House*.

Someone needs to get Uncle Jesse a date with the barber chair. That mullet was absolutely humungous.
I wonder what Becky would have done if he’d rocked that hairdo at their wedding?
Angelina Jolie in *Gone In 60 Seconds*.

Back then, the times weren’t progressive enough to call out Angelina for her culturally appropriating hairdo.
Jolie makes Jack Black’s doo in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer seem not so bad.
