2009 and 2010 were totally unfair to Rihanna. She suffered abuse at the hands of Chris Brown and almost went bankrupt.
Now? She’s a living legend. Fenty Beauty is one of the biggest beauty brands in the world, and she’s now launched her own fashion line. You go, Riri.
Zendaya
No one has glow’n up harder than Zendaya. From Nickelodeon and Disney channel all the way up to HBO, Zendaya has conquered this decade.
I mean, she’s now an all-inclusive fashion designer, on top of everything else. Queen.
Beyoncé
Beyoncé was newly married and fresh off of the release of I Am…Sasha Fierce .
Now, she’s…well, she’s Beyoncé. She’s untouchable and iconic. She and Jay-Z have three children, multiple award-winning albums, a clothing line (Ivy Park), and cultural immortality, tbh.
Camila Cabello
At the beginning of the decade, Camila Cabello was on the cusp of auditioning for The X-Factor and joining Fifth Harmony.
Now, she’s a successful solo artist, has multiple awards under her belt, and has a new album on the way: “Romance,” out now!
Emma Watson
Emma Watson spent the beginning of the decade saying goodbye to the Harry Potter franchise.
These days, she’s a passionate activist, a literal Disney princess, and a UN ambassador for gender equality.

The 2010s saw the meteoric rise of Taylor Swift. She was just coming off of the infamous Kanye moment and about to enter a decade of pure success.
Albums like Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation, and Lover dropped in that time.
Selena Gomez
Baby-faced Selena was a Disney darling in 2010. She appeared in multiple shows and Disney films, including Wizards of Waverly Place and Princess Protection Program .
Now, she does more grown-up work, like executive producing 13 Reasons Why and working on her third studio album.
