Singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha has always been an advocate for self-love, size inclusivity, and anti-body-shaming.
But this time she’s really putting her foot down and standing up against any trolls that have anything negative to say about her curves on social media.

In the past, Bebe has had to face criticism not only from fans, but from luxury designers as well for not fitting into a size one.
Although Bebe slayed in a vermillion tulle gown at the 61st annual Grammy Awards, how she got to that point wasn’t easy.
Celebs are often expected to wear gowns on the red carpet specially designed for them by high-end, luxury designers.
It’s a statement of true fame when a well-known designer wants to dress you.
But there’s a catch.
They won’t dress you if you can’t fit into their standard sample sizes — which is typically anything smaller than a size eight.
Unfortunately, this is the standard amongst most luxury fashion brands.
In the fashion industry, everything that is a size eight and larger is considered to be “plus size,” believe it or not.
Plus-size, not many years ago, used to be size 10-12, but those numbers have recently shrunk down to size eight — making it even more difficult for the average-size woman, like Bebe Rexha, to shop luxury brands.
Bebe, who is a size eight, was turned down by designers who refuse to style anyone that isn’t “runway size”.
But she clapped back at the designers who overlooked her — throwing some serious shade at them in an Instagram video.
She explained in the video that this year’s Grammy’s were a big deal for her because she received her first ever nomination.
She then explains that celebrities often have custom-made gowns designed for them by high-end designers — which was something she was really looking forward to doing. Her team reached out to several designers on her behalf, but they all turned her down for being “too big.”
“If size six-eight is too big, then I don’t know what to tell you,” she said. “I don’t want to wear your [expletive] dresses.”
“You’re saying that all the women in the world that are size eight and up are not beautiful and they cannot wear your dresses,” she continued .
“So all the people that said I’m too thick and I can’t wear your dresses, [expletive] you, I don’t wanna wear your [expletive] dresses,” she said.
When questioned about the controversy by Teen Vogue , Bebe fired back again, saying :
“Yo, you wish you could’ve dressed my fat [expletive].”
Ryan Seacrest also asked Bebe what made her want to make the video calling out designers.
“I just did the video because I was really heartbroken and it bummed me out,” she said.
She continued, explaining that she loves her body and she wants other girls to love their bodies too.
“They said I was too big or fat and I love my body and I just want other girls to love their bodies,” she went on .
Just this past week, Bebe uploaded this shot, letting fans know that she hadn’t edited this photo — that it was authentically her.
“I probably should of photoshopped my stomach and made it look flat,” she wrote.
“I probably should of photoshopped my legs to make them look thinner,” she went on.
“I probably should of made myself look taller and Smoothed my legs. But I didn’t.”
Last weekend a Twitter troll chimed in, calling her “too thiccccck” after she posted a video of herself on Twitter.
But she fired back, telling them to “get over it.”
The video in question had nothing to do with her appearance.
Bebe was expressing her belief in body autonomy in Alabama over the recent anti-abortion bill in the state. The fact that someone took this as an opportunity to pass judgement on her body is awful!
Despite the haters in the comments, lots of people showed support for Bebe.
Along with these celebrity supporters, there were lots of comments from fans thanking Bebe for her honesty and for helping them feel more beautiful in their own skin.
Fans showed their support.
It’s important that we see different types of bodies in the media, so we can all learn to love and accept all of our different kinds of bodies too.
Bebe is still having to fight off trolls leaving negative comments on her photos. But she does an excellent job of doing so.
“@healthmagazine I’m so happy that my fat delicious [expletive] was on the cover,” she captioned this photo on Instagram.
Bebe is an inspiration.
She regularly references body positivity on social media, tries to inspire confidence in other girls, and lets the haters know their opinions don’t matter.
“Society can really [expletive] with you,” she continued.
“Here is what a real woman looks like on Instagram without photoshop.”
Bebe is the real MVP for doing this.
