It’s been a rough few weeks for Amber Heard. The actor lost a defamation trial against her ex, Johnny Depp , in a bitter courtroom drama that basically had the two square off to determine who had the better PR engine on their side . Heard also dealt with a substantial amount of online abuse and taunts throughout the saga.
While it’s too early to tell what Heard’s next chapter might entail, she can at least take solace that she has the most beautiful face in the world.
No, that’s not an opinion. It’s a fact that’s fully backed by science.
It all comes down to the Golden Ratio of Beauty.
The Golden Ratio of Beauty , which I swear is a real thing and wasn’t invented solely for this piece, states that a face’s length should be divided by the face’s width. The closer the answer is to the desired number — 1.618 to 1.62 — the more beautiful it apparently is.
An expert says Heard’s face matches the Golden Ratio.
According to Us Weekly, Dr. Julian De Silva Guzman of the Centre for Advanced Facial Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery in London studied 12 key points of Amber Heard’s face, including features like her eyes, nose, lips and chin, to determine that she was the most mathematically beautiful person in existence.

They say that nobody’s perfect, and that would seem to apply here. According to de Silva, Heard’s features line up to the Golden Ratio of Beauty with 91.85% accuracy. Even if Heard is the most beautiful person in the world, she isn’t quite perfect, according to the ratio.
Is this ratio even legit?
I’m skeptical, but de Silva is convinced.
“The Greeks discovered that the ratio occurs everywhere in nature and for thousands of years it has been thought to hold the secret formula of the world’s most beautiful faces,” he confidently stated.
What about other celebs?
While we’re assigning numerical grades to assess beauty, we might as well go all in. So here goes: Scarlett Johansson has the most perfect eyes, Kim Kardashian has the most perfect eyebrows, and Emily Ratajkowski has the most perfect lips.
All of this is according to one person’s calculations, though.
Measuring women’s faces to assess their beauty is totally normal and cool, guys.
“The Phi ratio of 1.618 has long been thought to hold the secret for beauty, but now with the computer mapping we can calculate how it applies to real women,” de Silva said. He didn’t say anything about applying the ratio to men, nor did he comment on how much time he’d spent looking at photos of celebs to arrive at these calculations.
Is this just phrenology?
I’m not talking about the iconic album by The Roots , I’m talking about the antiquated pseudoscience which used calipers to measure people’s heads and thus, infer their intelligence. Phrenology died out in the 19th century for good reason.
Good for Amber Heard, I guess.
Heard’s next move involves doing the rounds with media to tell her side of the story. She likely isn’t too concerned about a face measuring expert giving her a 91.85% beauty score, but at least it does mean she’s the most beautiful person in the world, according to said face measuring expert.
