Halsey is a true force to be reckoned with.
Not only is she an incredibly talented artist, working her way to the top of the pop music food chain, but she is also a fearless advocate for the LGBTQ community and feminism.

She speaks her mind, stands up for herself and those who need it. We stan a humanitarian queen!
But over the years, we have seen some very memorable clapbacks from her — some of the best I’ve ever seen, if we’re being honest.
She really has a way with words! And she has no patience for silence.
1. Like the time she clapped back at the people who thought she didn’t deserve a Grammy nomination in November 2019.
The news of Halsey not being nominated for anything, evidently, came as a surprise to her and her fan base.
So, when she woke up and realized she hadn’t been nominated in a single category, she took to Twitter to protest.
In a since-deleted tweet she wrote: “I just woke up and the biggest song of my career wasn’t nominated”.
“Can u guys not take ur anger out on me for once or,” she added , which was, unfortunately, met with quite a bit of backlash.
But Halsey handled it with class, asking her fans to stand out from her defense.
“My fans, please do not waste your anger or frustration,” she wrote.
“I see a lot of you are upset. of course im sad too. None of it matters. literally none of it. You’re here. im here. + everything is gonna stay exactly the same, and without me is still a super tight, record breaking song .”
2. Then, on the night of the Grammys, she made sure to call out the entire program for not giving her the proper recognition she deserves.
“The truth is I am older now and I’m also an artist… most of these awards really aren’t what they seem at all,” she said .
“I’m thankful to the fans because they are the people who really give a [expletive] about music,” she went on.
Her shade was subtle, but it was definitely there!
She let it be known that she is strictly making music for the fans, not for the validation of the academy music awards.
3. Then there was the time she stood up for Miley Cyrus after a fan accused her of being greedy because she is bisexual.
“Bi is greedy and never satisfied,” someone tweeted at Miley, to which Halsey replied saying:
“Hey tigerbob. Doesn’t surprise me that ur saying this and ur page has u crying about Brie Larson too! Stop being afraid of women who aren’t afraid to do what pleases them and not other people”.
4. Or the time she subtly shaded Machine Gun Kelly after he told the media that he had slept with her.
When an interviewer asked Machine Gun Kelly if he had ever “smashed” Halsey, he quickly responded, “Absolutely”.
Halsey then took to Twitter , to say: “How absolutely pathetic.”
5. Or the time that she slammed an executive at Victoria’s Secret after they were quoted stating that plus-size and transgender women would never walk the runway at one of their shows.
According to the executive, those types of women didn’t fit into the “fantasy” that they try to portray.
Yikes.
That year, Halsey was supposed to be headlining at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. But in a now-deleted note on Twitter, she urged fans to donate to GLSEN instead of watching the event.
“We stand in solidarity, and complete and total acceptance is the only ‘fantasy’ that I support,” she wrote .
6. Or the time she slammed Scooter Braun over his ongoing feud with Taylor Swift.
“It turns my guts that no matter how much power or success a woman has in this life, you are still susceptible to someone coming along and making you feel small out of spite,” she wrote in a note on Twitter .
7. Or the time she clapped back at her anti-LGBT fans attending her concerts.
“People bring anti-LGBT religious propaganda to my concerts a lot and it’s like, I feel like I’ve done enough good in the world that God’s gonna forgive me for eating some pussy,” she tweeted .
You go, girl!.
8. Or the time she called out all the homophobic viewers that watched her live performance on *The Voice*.
“Very proud of the emotional performance i did with @JadeChynoweth on @NBCTheVoice tonight. And also very proud to have pissed off thw homophobic viewers at home who missed the message. Thanks for watching,” she wrote .
9. Last but not least, the time that she clapped back at a fan for trolling her at one of her shows, shouting out “G-Eazy”, her ex-boyfriend’s name.
“If you say G-Eazy one more [expletive] time, I will kick you out of this building,” Halsey reportedly said .
“I will kick your [expletive] [expletive]. Test me. I will kick your [expletive] out of the [expletive] club. You’re not going to disrespect me like that at my own show.”
