Earlier this week, “Slide Away” singer Miley Cyrus was headlining at Lollapalooza Brazil, where she assisted in a proposal by having the couple join her on stage when one of them got down on one knee and popped the question.
While she initially seemed very excited for the newly engaged pair, she took the opportunity to fire shots at her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth.

While headlining at Lollapalooza Brazil earlier this week, the “Wrecking Ball” singer invited a couple on stage, where one proposed to the other.
While the 29-year-old seemed happy for the newly-engaged couple, she also used it as an opportunity to fire shots at Hemsworth.
But before we get into that, let’s unpack why Cyrus and Hemsworth’s relationship ended on such bad terms.
The pair met on the set of “The Last Song” in 2009 and were red carpet official by 2010.
The pair dated on and off for a couple of years before getting engaged in 2012. But by 2013, it was clear that the pair had called off their wedding plans and split up.
In 2016 the pair reunited and announced that their engagement was back on.
But in 2017 Cyrus admitted in an interview that marriage wasn’t on her radar yet.
“I don’t envision marriage. I’m 24. I hope I get to live a little bit more,” she tells the paper. “I have too much living to do [before I get married],” she said . “Three years ago, if you’d asked me if I’d be here, this happy with this man, I’d have been stunned. I’m just riding this out. In some relationships, you lose yourself by being with someone else. Actually, it made me find myself more. I have no idea what the next three years will bring, but if it’s possible to get even happier, I’ll take it.”
In December 2018, the pair finally tied the knot and seemed happier than ever. But sadly, the two called it quits just eight months later.
Their reps released a statement that read : “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
Their divorce documents stated the cause of their split was “irreconcilable differences.”
TMZ reported that “the divorce was marked by significant bitterness on both sides, but that seems to have subsided as they decided it’s better to move on than fight.”
A source subsequently revealed to Entertainment Tonight that their split was, ultimately, because Cyrus allegedly wasn’t ready to fully commit.
“Liam loved Miley so much, but in the back of his mind, he always knew a life with her would prove difficult because she never seemed ready to settle down,” the source said , adding that, “Liam wanted a marriage and family.”

Two years have passed since their divorce was finalized, and in hindsight, Cyrus thinks her marriage was a “disaster.”
After helping a couple get engaged during her set at Lollapalooza Brazil, she said: “Honey, I hope your marriage goes better than mine.”
“Mine was a [expletive] disaster!” she added.
Fans online loved Miley’s honest reaction.
