Jessica Simpson has been all over the news recently, and not for the right reasons. While the 42-year-old has just been minding her own business and posting ads for Pottery Barn, her comments soon became flooded with comments from fans concerned about the “With You” songstress.
Now, the mom of three is speaking out against those who are making fun of her looks and sobriety.
Jessica Simpson is Pottery Barn’s newest celebrity spokesperson and I want to make it clear I love this for both parties involved.
However, it’s not the partnership that fans are having concerns over.
Rather, it was Jessica’s behavior in the Pottery Barn collab video that is making fans wonder if the “Public Affair ” singer is doing okay these days.
“Hi, I’m Jessica Simpson, and welcome to my daughter Birdie’s room, designed by Pottery Barn Kids and a little bit of me,” the 42-year-old said in the video posted to her Insta on Thursday.
“I was really drawn to the geometric prints and the color scheme. This really, to me, is Birdie’s personality,” she said.
“Thank you everyone for checking out the adorable room of Birdie Mae Johnson,” she concludes before the video ends.
The ad has caused many fans to worry about Jessica’s health and speculate about what’s going on because, you know, everyone on the internet is a medical expert.

While most comments were coming from concerned fans, others were just plain mean and even went to far as to accuse the sober actress of being drunk.

“You sound wasted. Seriously slurring in this video. I wish someone would offer you help. It’s clear you need it,” said another.
Sharing a video of herself in the studio, Jessica wrote an emotional caption directed at those who accused her of being drunk in the Pottery Barn video.
“I needed to be in my studio today because this is where I ground myself and heal. As much as I have learned to block out destructive noise…peoples’ comments and judgements can still hurt deeply with their incessant nagging “you will never be good enough”. The most important thing I have learned through the last 5yrs without alcohol being a guard for escapism, is that I CAN and ALWAYS WILL get through it.”
