Ever wonder how celebrities stay so beautiful?
We just watched the Super Bowl halftime show, where a 50-year-old Jennifer Lopez made literally everyone watching turn their heads and glue their eyes to the field/TV.
She was that gorgeous.
But remember, she’s 50!
If some of us are lucky, and I mean really lucky, we might just look like Jennifer Lopez when we’re her age.
Or, you know, we could just get a lot of plastic surgery.
Now, now, before you get angry at that statement…
Celebrities using plastic surgery isn’t unheard of.
Celebs like Courteney Cox have admitted to using it, so it’s something that has been pretty prevalent in the community for many, many, many years.
And while Jennifer Lopez’s use of plastic surgery hasn’t been confirmed…
We have the technology to know what she would have looked like, had she aged like a person who decided not to use any kind of plastic surgery.
Or at least one doctor does.
That doctor’s name is Dr. Julian De Silva.
He used a technology called Future Face on ten-year-old pictures of celebrities to see what they should have looked like now.
And the results weren’t all that surprising.
But before we start this article…
Let’s take an opportunity to look at why some of these celebrity women decide they need to use plastic surgery in the first place.
Because really, we can’t blame them.
Hollywood expects these women to stay beautiful throughout the entire time that they are in the public eye.
This forces celebs to enhance their features to stay relevant.
Hollywood is not kind to ageing women.
So before you shake your heads at the following women, remember that even we are part of the problem.
We shouldn’t tell women they have to keep looking young to remain relevant.
While some of these celebs reject rumors that they had surgeries done, these comparison photos really make people think otherwise.
1. Jennifer Aniston
Aniston has denied any use of plastic surgery:
“[I’ve seen] women trying to stay ageless with what they are doing to themselves. I am grateful to learn from their mistakes because I am not injecting [expletive] into my face… I see them and my heart breaks. I think, ‘Oh god if you only know how much older you look.'”
Her friend Courteney Cox however has definitely used plastic surgery.
She even spoke out about getting some of the plastic surgery she’s done on herself removed :
“I’ve had all my fillers dissolved. I’m as natural as I can be. I feel better because I look like myself.”
“I think that I now look more like the person that I was. I hope I do. Things are going to change. Everything’s going to drop.”
“I was trying to make it not drop, but that made me look fake. You need movement in your face, especially if you have thin skin like I do. Those aren’t wrinkles—they’re smile lines. I’ve had to learn to embrace movement and realize that fillers are not my friend.”
2. Nicole Kidman
This actress has apparently tried Botox, but word is she didn’t like it:
“I did try Botox, unfortunately, but I got out of it and now I can finally move my face again,”
3. Salma Hayek
Hayek once told People she might never do plastic surgery:
“I don’t know if I would never get plastic surgery. I’m not planning on it right now. I don’t really take big risks when it comes to beauty and I think a big risk is plastic surgery.”
“No, your face is going to fall. You’ll have to keep getting more and more and more each time.”
“So if you’re going to do it, I recommend doing it as late as you can.”
4. Amanda Holden
While Amanda hasn’t said much about it, her friend Simon Cowell has confirmed the two used to do Botox. He and Amanda love looking back at what they call “The Botox Years.”
“I love watching ‘the Botox years.’ All of us are like, ‘Christ, we had a lot that year. Not so much that year… maybe a bit too much that year.'”
5. Tess Daly
While she may be getting older, Tess Daly never wants to have plastic surgery
“I’m not ready to go down that line and instead ’embraces’ her wrinkles,” she insisted. “You can see in the flesh I haven’t had any work done because there are wrinkles. But you know what? I embrace it. I’m happy. Life’s a journey, right?”
6. Renée Zellweger
Zellweger ‘s worst plastic surgery moment was when she overheard people talking about her on the subway:
“They [group of commuters] were talking about Hollywood and how Hollywood ladies are so silly, especially that Renée Zellweger. How could she do that? Why would she go and have surgery on her face like we wouldn’t know?”
She has denied the allegations of using plastic surgery, but she still keeps getting questions about it.
“It seems the folks who come digging around for some nefarious truth which doesn’t exist won’t get off my porch until I answer the door.”
7. Jennifer Lopez
While she has denied doing plastic surgery in the past, one surgeon spoke to Mirror.uk and told them that, yes, in fact, she has.
Specifically: a rhinoplasty (nose reshaping surgery, aka nose job).
However, Jennifer Lopez clapped back at that surgeon in a tweet.
“@DrAyoubi Sorry Sir, but I have never had plastic surgery of any kind. #fact”
Well, that’s a clap back if I’ve ever seen one! Do you believe her?
8. Cate Blanchett
Blanchett doesn’t like plastic surgery :
“I look at someone’s face and I see the work before I see the person…. You’re certainly not staving off the inevitable. And if you’re doing it out of fear, that fear’s still going to be seen through your eyes. The windows to your soul, they say.’
9. Catherine Zeta-Jones
She has always denied going under the knife, but how else would she look so darn good all the time? Good genes?
