Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are undoubtedly one of the most iconic celebrity couples of our time.
Their relationship was a whole era that some of us — and by some of us, I mean me — are still not over.

Unfortunately, their 2016 split seems fairly permanent. But recently, Angelina opened up to Vogue about her decision to separate from Brad.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were — and still are one of the most famous couples of all time. They were an iconic duo for the ages.
Their 12-year relationship will forever be a staple in pop-culture, and tbh, I’m still not over it.
They met on the set of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” in 2004, where they “fell in love”.
At the time, this was seen as controversial because Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston.
But by early 2005, Brad and Jennifer announced their split, and Brad moved on to Angelina.
Jennifer Aniston officially cited that “irreconcilable differences” were the reason for their divorce.
“Irreconcilable differences” AKA, Brad was in love with Angelina! Irreconcilable indeed. No two ways about that!
Before we could even process that Brad and Jen were no longer a couple, he was flying to Ethiopia with Angelina, adopting a six-month-old baby.
Three months after Brad’s divorce from Jennifer was finalized, he and Angelina were expecting their first biological child as well.
Fast forward to 2014, four more children later, Brad and Angelina finally tied the knot.
The pair seemed to be unstoppable. But there was, apparently, a lot more going on behind the scenes than we were aware of.
In August 2016, Angelina filed for divorce from Brad due to, again, “irreconcilable differences”. She also requested primary custody over their six children.
“This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time,” Angelina’s said in an official statement .
Last September, Brad opened up about his split from Angelina in an interview with *The New York Times*.
He explained that at the time his split from Angelina was materializing, his drinking had reached a concerning level.
“The fact is, we all carry pain, grief and loss,” he said. “We spend most of our time hiding it, but it’s there, it’s in you. So you open up those boxes.”
He explained the moment he and Angelina’s relationship came to an impasse was in September 2016, when they fought about his drinking habits, aboard a private plane.
But since then, he has cut alcohol out of his life entirely.
“I had taken things as far as I could take it, so I removed my drinking privileges,” he revealed.
Unfortunately, by then, it was too late.
Angelina had decided that separating from Brad would be what’s best for her, him, and their six children, Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 12, and 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
While Brad and Angelina weren’t able to go the distance, they are still committed to aising their children together.
“They do simple things like cook or watch movies,” a source revealed to Us Weekly about the children.
“He [Brad] encourages them to pursue their hobbies. They love to hang out and talk. Brad talks to them about whatever is on their minds — he’s a great listener,” the source added.
In March, a source revealed : “When the kids go over to Brad’s house he makes a point of doing home cooking with them, as well as arts and crafts.”
“They have a huge backyard, with a skatepark and all kinds of games,” they went on. “Brad loves getting outside with them.”
The source also revealed that Angelina “appreciates that Brad gives [their kids] his undivided attention when they’re with him.”
In a recent interview with *Vogue*, Angelina explained her choice to divorce Brad.
“I separated for the well-being of my family. It was the right decision,” she said.
“I continue to focus on their healing. “
She revealed that her children are often exposed to rumors about their family online, and that she has to reassure them that none of it is true.
“Some have taken advantage of my silence, and the children see lies about themselves in the media,” she said .
“But I remind them that they know their own truth and their own minds,” she went on.
Adding, “In fact, they are six very brave, very strong young people .”
Seems like Brad and Angelina have raised a very level-headed bunch of kids!
