I can’t believe we are still having this conversation in 2018, but body-shaming needs to stop.
No one should ever have to deal with being shamed for their appearance, and that definitely includes celebrities. Thankfully, these celebs are fighting back against body-shaming trolls and it’s a thing of beauty.
1. Sarah Hyland
Sarah Hyland has spent most of her life in the spotlight, so that means she’s a pro when it comes to dealing with internet trolls.
Sarah recently clapped back hard at trolls who accused her of being “too skinny.”
“In response to the negative comments on this post? I’d like to say three things,” wrote Sarah.
She continued by posting a three-point list that included the points “I looked amazing” and “I felt amazing.”
Oh, and number one on the list was an emoji literally flipping off her haters.
2. Shannon Purser
Shannon Purser is too pure for this world, so I can’t believe anyone would try to hurt her by body-shaming her online.
Don’t worry, though. Shannon can handle herself and was quick to drag her trolls for being terrible.
“I don’t need you to approve my body,” wrote Purser on Twitter.
“I hope one day we’ll learn to be kind to our bodies and teach our kids to do the same,” she added.
I love that she also called out people who tell her she looks good, as she doesn’t want anyone’s opinion on her appearance.
3. Gigi Hadid
Gigi Hadid is literally a supermodel, but even she wasn’t safe from body-shaming trolls.
Gigi was attacked online for looking different than she did when her modeling career began — because I guess people aren’t supposed to change?
“I will not further explain the way my body looks,” wrote Gigi on Twitter.
“Just as anyone, with a body type that doesn’t suit your ‘beauty’ expectation, shouldn’t have to,” she added.
4. Ruby Rose
Ruby Rose is basically a real life superhero, and no one has any business commenting on her body.
Unfortunately, the internet is a nightmare and not everyone has learned to keep their bad opinions to themselves.
“[Body-shaming is] so frustrating,” wrote Ruby on Instagram.
“I love my body when I don’t work out and I am soft and I love it when I train hard and feel strong. I hate [body-shaming] because it worries fans or shames them.”
5. Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian is no stranger to internet trolls. It seems like no matter what she does, haters will come out of the woodwork to criticize her.
Thankfully, she’s the queen of clapbacks and definitely doesn’t care what anyone thinks.
Kim responded to her trolls in a truly inspiring way — by shamelessly loving her own body.
When her haters tried to shame her for appearing to have cellulite in several paparazzi pics, Kim made it clear that she didn’t care.
6. Beyoncé
Can you imagine being so pathetic that you actually tried to make Beyoncé feel bad about her body? She’s Beyonc_é ._
Obviously Beyoncé is perfect, and we are all blessed to be alive at the same time as her.
Queen Bey wrote a song to let body-shamers know how she feels about them.
“I wrote [“Bootylicious”] because, at the time, I’d gained some weight and the pressure that people put you under, the pressure to be thin, is unbelievable,” said Beyoncé .
“It’s a celebration of curves and a celebration of women’s bodies.”
7. Lili Reinhart
Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty Cooper on the hit show Riverdale , is certainly not afraid to tell her fans what’s on her mind.

So when she spotted a photo of herself on a fan account that compared her body to a lingerie model’s, she had to speak up.
Lili clapped back in a lengthy Tumblr post.
“[This post] is a perfect way to fuel this delusional idea that it’s still okay to put women on a pedestal and compare them,” wrote Reinhart.
“You are promoting the idea that this model is what all women should look like and that it’s not okay to look like anything else.”
8. Rihanna
People can’t seem to stop commenting on Rihanna’s body, and it’s extremely annoying.
Of course, Rihanna can handle herself and her clapbacks are iconic, but wouldn’t it be great if she didn’t have to fight back at all?
When a sports website tried to body shame Riri on Twitter, she had the perfect response.
She posted this meme on her Instagram.
Basically, Rihanna doesn’t care what you think of her body because no matter what she looks like, she’s too good for you.
9. Patty Jenkins
Patty Jenkins, who directed Wonder Woman , had some harsh words for James Cameron after he called Wonder Woman “a step backwards” because…Diana is pretty?
News flash, James. Women can be strong and beautiful.
Patty swiftly shut down his argument.
“If women have to always be hard, tough and troubled to be strong, and we aren’t free to be multidimensional or celebrate an icon of women everywhere because she is attractive and loving, the we haven’t come very far have we,” wrote Jenkins.
10. Chrissy Metz
Last year, Chrissy Metz stunned at the MTV Awards when she showed up wearing a gorgeous latex dress.
She looked absolutely amazing, but unfortunately, some trash people decided to try to shame her for her fashion choices.
Chrissy wasn’t bothered by her haters, but she did take the time to tweet out this one simple truth.
The only person who tells Chrissy what to wear is Chrissy.
If everyone lived by this motto, the world would be a better place.
11. Kelly Clarkson
Kelly Clarkson has been attacked for her looks for as long as I can remember, and it really needs to stop.
Kelly is stunning and talented, and she certainly doesn’t deserve to have her every move scrutinized online.
When Katie Hopkins body-shamed Kelly on Twitter, Kelly responded in the best possible way.
Kelly laughed it off and said , “Oh, and she’s tweeted something nasty about me? That’s because she doesn’t know me. I’m awesome! It doesn’t bother me. It’s a free world. Say what you will.”
12. Gabourey Sidibe
Gabby is an incredibly talented and Oscar-nominated actress, and that’s all that anyone should focus on.
Unfortunately, she’s constantly criticized for her body instead of her achievements, and it’s seriously frustrating.
Her haters are going to need some aloe vera to deal with this burn.
I am living for this response. Gabby is clearly not phased by trolls because she’s too busy being a star.
