The day after Thanksgiving, on Friday, Al was brought back to the hospital on a stretcher from a house. His condition was concerning, but once he was back in the hospital, the witness informed the outlet, he got better.

He returned back to work the first week of January, where he stated that he lost “half [his] blood” during his “life-threatening” medical crisis.
How He Lost Blood
“I lost half my blood. They were trying to figure out where it was,” he recalled of his hospitalization and internal bleeding, joking that he “went in for one operation [and] got four free.”

The couple wed at Manhattan’s St. Thomas Episcopal Church in 1995 in front of relatives and well-known friends after first connecting in 1990 when Roberts joined NBC’s Today as a correspondent. Among the attendees were Katie Couric and Barbara Walters.
