By this point, even if you’re a casual watcher of anything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, then you at least know of the Guardians of the Galaxy .
Drax, played by Dave Bautista has become a favorite amongst fans for his brutal honesty and amazing fight scenes.

Before he was Drax, Dave Bautista had a very different job.
He was a wrestler!
So it definitely provided him with the build that he needed to play Drax.
Drax can be sometimes harsh, but he is a lovable character.
He is known for being brutally honest, and equally as brutal in a fight.
But that’s what makes him so fun to watch.
Although we definitely can’t picture anyone else as Drax, it could have been another actor!
Dave Bautista had a little trouble during his audition for the show.
At the Denver Pop Culture Con, Bautista got real about his experience.
Acting is a tough process, as each time you have to put your toe on the line for a film or TV show.
His agent had to work really hard to even get him an audition.
He said that his agent told him , “It was really hard to get, they didn’t really want to audition you. They didn’t want any pro wrestlers, so I don’t want to get your hopes up.’”
Bautista continued by saying that it was a nightmare for him.
“I was terrified . I was really desperate at the time, I had hardly worked in three years, and I had gone broke from wrestling and I was desperate to get a job.”
He had to work extremely hard to understand who Drax was.
“My first and second auditions, my acting coach came with me. I read for Sarah Finn, she’s amazing. I read with her and she said ‘Don’t be nervous. Take your time, we can be here all day.’” He said .
Despite the fact that he felt nervous, it clearly worked out in his favor.
Bautista obviously got the role of Drax and will be returning in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 .
