Evangeline Lilly has amazing news about Jeremy Renner ’s recovery following his snowplow accident.
The 43-year-old Ant-Man and the Wasp actress visited her former costar at home, and was surprised to find him up and about. She called his rehabilitation “a miracle.”

‘He Has Recovered Like A Mofo’
Lilly, who costarred with Renner in 2008’s The Hurt Locker , talked to Access Hollywood about the visit and revealed that he was already moving around in a wheelchair.
“He has recovered like a mofo,” the Lost alum said.
She Didn’t Expect Him To Be Up And About
“I walked in his house and got chicken skin because I was like, ‘Why are you mobile? Why are you mobile? What’s happening?’” she continued. “I expected to sit at his bedside and hold his hand while he moaned and groaned in pain and wasn’t able to move.”
‘It’s A Straight-Up Miracle’
Lilly shared that Renner, 52, was active in a wheelchair and having fun with his friends.
“It’s a miracle. It’s a straight-up miracle,” she stated.
He’s ‘Recovering Incredibly’
She also expressed admiration for the American Hustle actor’s toughness, bravery, and strength, and said she was grateful that he was “recovering incredibly.”
Seeing Him Felt ‘Intense’
When host Scott Evans asked her how it felt to know he was on his way to “a positive recovery” after he nearly died from his accident, a visibly emotional Lilly replied, “It was really intense. I mean, he had a near death experience that was highly traumatic, and he was awake for the whole thing.”
She Empathized With His Trauma
She said that the things Renner told her have stuck with her days after the visit.
“I’m still having moments where some of the stuff he told me that he experienced and retelling me the story of what went on and the things he could hear and the things that he could see…” the actress said before covering her face with her hands and shuddering at the memory.
His Accident
Renner was clearing snow from his Reno, Nevada property on New Year’s Day when he was run over by his 14,330-pound PistenBully snow groomer.
He Broke A Lot Of Bones
The Marvel star later revealed he broke more than 30 bones because of the accident.
He’s Now Healing Well
Sources have previously said that the extent of his injuries was worse than the media reported, so we’re definitely glad to hear this piece of news from Lilly.
