Kim Kardashian has admitted that a certain controversial photoshoot she did with Justin Bieber when he was 16 years old should have gotten her canceled.
The shoot was for Elle Magazine
Kardashian and Bieber were involved in a photoshoot back in 2010 for Elle Magazine when she was 29 years old and he was only 16.
The shoot saw them running, posing, and holding hands on the beach together while staring into each other’s eyes. It was inspired by the 1967 movie The Graduate.
Kardashian has admitted it was wrong
Now, 15 years later, Kim Kardashian has admitted that the project was a bad idea and it should’ve gotten her canceled.
She told the Call Her Daddy podcast, ”I think I’m gonna get canceled if I say it. Like, I don’t know who approved this, and I don’t know who thought that this was normal, this narrative.”

The concept was an ‘odd’ one
“But I did a photoshoot with Justin Bieber, and he was 16 years old. And I don’t know how old I was,” Kardashian added.
“Nothing ever weird was obviously happening, and like, I just think that was like an odd concept and why none of us thought that that was odd at the time,” she said.
Bieber’s partner at the time was there too
Kardashian went on, “But now we look back and I’m like, that would have not been the most appropriate thing.”
Bieber was dating Selena Gomez at the time, who Kardashian said was present on the set of the shoot, saying, “His girlfriend was there, his parents were.”
It’s shocking to her that nobody pointed out the issue
“I mean, it was like nothing creepy at all,” she continued.
“But I look back and I’m like, that’s the one thing that I feel like, you know, he’s like a good dear friend of ours and the whole family, but like, who thought that that was a good idea?”
The shoot was rather controversial
The photoshoot was inspired by The Graduate, where a college graduate is seduced by an older married woman, so it was unsurprising that many disliked the idea.
“It was a story of what’s that story with the teacher and the student, the graduate. The graduate,” Kardashian said.
She doesn’t think it was appropriate to do
“I just feel like nothing ever weird was obviously happening and it was just an odd concept and why none of us thought that that was odd at the time,” Kardashian added on the podcast.
“But now we look back and I’m like ‘that would have not been the most appropriate thing.’”
