Abby Lee Miller has gotten sentimental following the sale of her Pittsburgh-based dance studio. The Dance Moms star was, shortly before the New Year, reported to have sold her studio for $300,000, per The New York Post . The studio was made famous on the Lifetime reality series and is largely regarded to have already been closed – “by the New Year,” The Daily Mail reports. For Abby, it’s the end of an era – she guided and taught young dancers for three decades. As to the building housing the studio, it’s said to be headed for a commercial setup.
$300,000 Sale

Four days ago, Abby took to her Instagram, sharing an old photo of the studio’s exterior.
“Putting your name on a building does not guarantee a Legacy. Instilling a desire in kids to learn, to improve, to win, to push the boundaries, to dream big, and to succeed beyond their wildest expectations is what I did inside my studio day after day, year after year!” she wrote, adding that her proudest element is the “lives” she’s improved. For her, this is “pure satisfaction.”
A Bittersweet Moment
While the 57-year-old did call it the “end of an era” for the city of Pittsburgh, she did think outside the box, adding that it is just the start of an Allegheny Country Penn Hills School District & Penn Hills Municipality Tax-Free life for her. Clearly, Abby has a sense of humor.
Her plan is to open the Abby Lee Dance Company. She also spoke of a 22-year-old who once had a dream to construct her own State of the Art Facility. Here, she shared a total of five images, including one of the when the building was constructed.
The Most Special Of Places

Abby also highlighted one special place. The reality star said that the Parent Observation Mezzanine was it for her – a place where parents could watch their little ones “learn step by step how to do a cartwheel” and “finally” smile up at you.
Bought It Back In 1993
Abby purchased the studio in 1993 and for $150,000, before turning it into her dream setup. She worked hard to turn it into the Abby Lee Dance Company, something that would eventually feature on Dance Moms , which premiered back in summer 2013. Fans are likely sad at the news, but pleased to see an update from the legendary TV face.
