The Modern Family superstar Sofia Vergara, 52, was accused of sassy behavior behind the show’s scenes by co-star Kelly Mantle. Mantle was a guest on the show where she was a drag queen in the 2019 episode The Last Halloween.
Mantle opened up about Vergara’s behavior on The Bald and the Beautiful with Trixie and Katya podcast where she disapproved of the star’s attitude with the staff.

The wig incident
Mantle recalled Vergara’s wig incident where she had to wear one but she didn’t want to wear bobby pins, which were needed to keep the wig in place. She kept saying: “No bobby pins.” The issue escalated when Mantle had to place a crown on Vergara’s head.
The situation was tense
Mantle recounted what happened on the podcast, saying: “They yell action, and I’m supposed to put the crown on her hair. So I put the crown on, and then they say cut, and she’s like, ‘Watch out for the wig! You’re putting the crown on my head!'”
Mantle tried to justify Vergara’s actions
Mantle tried to lighten up the mood, jokingly saying: “Well, girl, you should have put those bobby pins in.” Despite not being a fan of how the renowned superstar acted, she acknowledged that she might have been going through a bad day.

“Maybe it was a bad day. I’m just going to say it was a bad day. Because she’s hilarious, and beautiful, and talented, and gorgeous. I’m sure it was a bad day,” Mantle said, trying to reason why Vergara acted the way she did. The Modern Family superstar hasn’t commented on these claims.
Vergara’s new spark
These claims come after Vergara was spotted with Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton, 40, sharing a cozy lunch together in New York this week. They were both grinning from ear to ear as they said goodbye before Vergara headed into a car.

The couple were seen dining at Breakfast by Salt Cure in the West Village. They weren’t alone, though, they had company with them, and yet, it was like they were alone.
The couple sat beside each other and observers claimed that Vergara hardly ate any food as she was so invested in the ongoing conversations.

This is not the first time to see Vergara romantically involved with younger men. She was engaged to Nick Loeb, 49, in 2012 before calling it quits in 2014. Additionally, she was married to Joe Manganiello, 48, in 2015 but unfortunately, they got divorced in 2023.

When Vergara announced their split, she didn’t delve into details. However, just a month before her divorce was finalized, she opened up about the reason why she and Manganiello separated. What led to the “difficult decision” was a dispute over children.

Vergara’s son from her first marriage to Joe Gonzalez, Manolo, 32, is enough for her. She sees herself as too old to be a mother, she’d rather be a grandmother instead. The matter of having more children would depend on her partner already having children of his own.
