Oh look, folks, it seems there isn’t just racism, sexism, and transphobia in Hollywood, there also seems to be a prejudice against people who are short!
Obviously it’s not as bad as everything else we mentioned but still!
For shame, Hollywood. For shame.
James McAvoy has a good career behind him

He’s probably most famous for his portrayal of a young Professor X.
But his performances in movies like Split , It: Chapter 2 and even The Chronicles Of Naria: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe have seen him rise to prominence.
But even he has trouble getting roles sometimes.

And on occasion, it has to do with his height.
Recently, the Glaswegian actor talked to Telegraph about the problems he runs into being a 5’7″ man in Hollywood.
“As a shorter man, I sometimes get told I’m too short for a role,”

And he goes on about how it may not even be easy when he gets the role:
“Or even when I get a role, I’m made to feel like, well, of course, we’re going to have to do something about that.”
And finally, he talked about one experience he had on set that might surprise you…

“I was told once by an actress that it was an interesting choice, my casting, because nobody would usually believe that I would be with somebody like her. That was a kick in the nuts!”
Yeesh!
