Navarone Garibaldi Reflects on ‘Surreal’ Death of Sister Lisa Marie Presley

Weeks after Lisa Marie Presley’s tragic death in January, half-brother Navarone Garibaldi reflected on his family’s loss.

In an interview with PEOPLE published on Wednesday, Garibaldi, 35, said that “It’s still so surreal,” referring to Lisa Marie, who passed away at the age of 54.

Unlike Lisa Marie, Garibaldi did not grow up in the spotlight. Son of Marco Garibaldi and Priscilla Presley , Navarone managed to largely stay out of the public eye, though he too eventually began a career as a musician.

Following Lisa Marie’s death due to an apparent cardiac arrest, Garibaldi attended a memorial in her name at Graceland on January 22nd.

Priscilla is also in the process of contesting her daughter’s will. In 2016, Lisa Marie changed her will to include her children, Benjamin and Riley Keough, as sole trustees. Benjamin passed away in 2020, leaving Riley as the sole trustee.

In more recent years, Navarone and Lisa Marie had drifted apart.

“Riley has been so good with the twins,” Garibaldi said, in reference to Lisa Marie’s youngest daughters, 14-year-old twins Finley and Harper. He did not comment on the will dispute between Riley and Priscilla.

Previously, Garibaldi Posted A Tribute To Lisa Marie On His Instagram.

“I know the past couple years weren’t easy for you, and I wish things had been different between us. regardless, you are my sister and I’m sending love and prayers for your journey home,” he wrote in the caption to the post , which included a picture of himself as a toddler alongside Lisa Marie.

In The Weeks Since Her Death, More Details Regarding Lisa Marie Presley’s Life Have Been Revealed.

According to TMZ , Lisa Marie had been taking weight loss pills, having lost between 40 and 50 pounds in the six weeks leading to January’s Golden Globes ceremony.

She Had Also Been Struggling With Opioid Addiction.

Lisa Marie had a history of opioid abuse and had allegedly begun using the substance again in the months leading to her death.

On The Moring Of Her Death, Lisa Marie Had Been Complaining About Abdominal Pain.

As of now, Presley’s cause of death is unknown as her family awaits a toxicology report.
