Midnight online shopping is a favorite pastime of many. Some like to splurge on luxurious items they’ve had their eyes on for months, while others only add items to their cart and don’t actually buy.
And then there’s Norman Reedus . The Walking Dead star once bought a house during one of his late-night shopping shenanigans. Even more scandalous: he did so without the permission of his fiancée, Diane Kruger.
Yikes. Let’s hope he bought himself a dog house, too!
A lot of people might not be aware that Norman Reedus and Diane Kruger are together.
The pair, who prove that opposites attract, first met while filming the 2015 movie, Sky . At the time, Kruger was still dating Joshua Jackson.
It wasn’t until after that breakup in 2017 that they went public with their love.
In November of the following year, they welcomed their first daughter together. This is Diane’s first child and Reedus’ second. He also has a son named Mingus from his previous relationship with Helena Christensen.
Since they are very private about their relationship, there is no known info about their daughter’s birthday or even her name.
However, the couple has shared some sweet words with each other on social media. “I have A LOT to be thankful for this year and I count my lucky stars to have met you @bigbaldhead and for sharing life’s many blessings with you,” Kruger wrote on Instagram weeks after giving birth.
Since they are polar opposites, there are many differences between the couple.
Diane is always the picture of prim and proper with her sophisticated looks. Meanwhile, Reedus looks a little rough around the edges and even has an extreme passion for motorcycles.
Diane is also tighter with the purse strings, while Reedus likes to make decisions on the fly.
This was proven recently when Diane made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live . She revealed that Norman recently purchased a house without her permission.

She began by explaining that they took a look at the house one Sunday afternoon.
After Norman dropped her off at her table read for Swimming With Sharks, he went back to the house without her and fell in love, despite the pair living in New York.
‘So, then he drops me off and I come out of my table read and there’s like 50 messages that start with, “I love that house. I stayed another hour. What do you think?” she said.
She continued:
‘Next message, “Should we move to California? I don’t know … I think just for a kid it would be so nice. How bout we make an offer? You know what? I made an offer. We got the house.”‘
When Jimmy asked if she was displeased about this, Diane admitted that she didn’t want to complain too much.
“I had not considered relocating to California, which then we did, so it was great,” she said. The house Norman purchased was an $8.25 million four-bedroom Hollywood Hills home.
The 7,732-square-foot Medieval home overlooked the Sunset Strip.
Sounds like heaven! Despite this, the pair put the house back on the market after only living there for a year.
When Jimmy asked if these sorts of impulse purchases happen all the time, Diana called Norman a “mad midnight shopper.”
She shared that Norman’s impulse purchases happen often, with some items showing up in the middle of the night.
“I call him like a mad midnight shopper because, like the most obscure objects show up the next day — like weird balls to massage his feet, toothbrushes, a house, nine motorcycles … literally,’ she said
When it came to the house, the ‘Walking Dead’ star clearly wanted something for his family to enjoy.
Reedus popped the question to Kruger in August 2021. A source told E! News that “they are very excited to solidify their relationship.” A house is just one way to do that!
