So, there were some pretty wild allegations against Hilary Duff over the weekend that suggested she shared photos of her eight-year-old son, Luca, ON SOCIAL MEDIA NO LESS, in an attempt to sell him.
Naturally, like any parent, Hilary made sure to shut down these claims before they could escalate.

In a mystery Twitter thread that has since been deleted, allegations against *Lizzie McGuire* star, Hilary Duff, were made, insinuating that she shared revealing photos of her eight-year-old son, Luca, in an attempt to sell him.
Obviously, this is an outrageous, horrifying allegation that no parent would ever want to face.
Conspiracy theorists have thrown around the idea that that Hilary is trying to sell her son amid the ongoing custody battle she’s been having with her ex-husband, Mike Comrie.
She allegedly shared a photo on her Instagram account that sparked the rumor.
Which again…why would she even put it on social media?
The photo was in a pile of other photos of Luca, that seemed to be a lot more normal. However, that one photo seemed to spark an outrage amongst fans!
Some people thought that the photo was certainly bizarre, but that calling Hilary out for anything more.
Some people think that there is no reasonable explanation as to why any parent, *nay*, person should have a photo like that of their child.
I am definitely curious as to why the photo exists in the first place if it actually does.
Unfortunately, many people believed the rumor and simply saw it as another celebrity being exposed for their true colors.
Thankfully, however, after realizing her name was randomly trending, Hilary spoke up and shut down the allegations.
“Everyone bored af right now I know..but this is actually disgusting…..,” she wrote.
She said that whoever thought this up obviously crossed a very serious line and needs to find something better to do with their time.
“Whoever dreamed this one up and put this garbage into the universe should take a break from their damn phone. Maybe get a hobby,” she concluded.
Hilary is now a mother of two.
She shares an 18-month-old daughter with her now-husband, Matthew Koma.
Anyway, of course, all the Hilary Duff stans were right behind her, springing to her defense.
One cannot simply put such an accusation on ANY celebrity and expect to get away with it.
In fact, you shouldn’t do that at all without ACTUAL evidence.
People agree that the photo was strange, but thinks that labeling Hilary as anything but a loving mother is going too many steps too far.
I mean, this is Lizzie McGuire we’re talking about here.
It doesn’t seem plausible that she would try to sell her child to anyone.
Others think that it’s unfair that cancel culture only seems to target the undeserving, when there are far better candidates at play.
They also explained that it’s unethical to cancel someone based entirely on a rumor.
Which obviously makes tons of sense.
It was a very bold and unsettling allegation against someone that has never given us the impression of being anything less than an angel!
Thankfully though, fans mostly seem to be on her side for everything that people said about her.
Some people think that anyone who sees the photo of Luca as anything negative are actually the problem, and not Hilary herself.
They added that most parents likely have photos like that of their young children and that it’s meant to be harmless.
So, basically, the verdict according to Twitter is that Hilary Duff is definitely not trying to sell her eight-year-old son, and I have to agree.
It was one of the most far-fetched rumors I’ve seen in a while though!
