The 18-year-old actor known for his work on 9-1-1: Lonestar ‘s death is being treated as an apparent overdose, according to TMZ .
The young star was found dead in his Los Angeles home on June 18th after police responded to a call about a man not breathing.
Tyler Sanders was an Emmy-nominated rising star.
Sanders appeared in shows like Fear The Walking Dead, 9-1-1: Lonestar, and The Rookie , and he had recently received a Daytime Emmy nomination for his work in the Amazon Prime Video series, Just Add Magic: Mystery City.
Pedro Tapia, Sanders’ agent, made a statement confirming his passing.
“Tyler was a talented actor with a bright future. He comes from a wonderful family, and we ask that you respect their privacy at this time,” Tapia told Deadline at the time.
No foul play was suspected.
TMZ now reports that Sanders’ cause of death is being treated as a suspected overdose.
TMZ reports that the police found an unidentified white powder in Sanders’ possession, and claims a source attending Sanders’ funeral stated Sanders’ father confirmed a suspected overdose in the eulogy.
